About the Team

The Workplace Operations team creates the environment that allows Turing’s employees, candidates, visitors, and leaders to do their best work. We manage the spaces, services, and operational details that make our offices welcoming, productive, secure, and ready to support a rapidly growing organization.

We work across Facilities, Recruiting, People Operations, IT, Security, and Executive Support. Our responsibilities shift with office activity, hiring volume, leadership meetings, employee events, and evolving business needs.

The Role

As a Workplace Operations Associate, you will help run the day-to-day experience of Turing’s Palo Alto office. You will be a visible and trusted onsite resource, helping ensure that employees can work productively and that candidates, customers, executives, and other visitors receive a thoughtful and professional experience.

This is a multifaceted, hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety and wants to understand how a fast-growing AI company operates from the inside. You will support workplace services, interviews, employee onboarding, office technology, vendor coordination, events, access processes, and business-critical meetings.

The breadth of the role creates exposure to teams and leaders across the organization. As you build expertise and demonstrate reliable execution, you may have opportunities to contribute to increasingly complex projects within Workplace, People Operations, Recruiting, IT, Executive Support, or other business functions.

Why This Role Matters

A high-performing workplace removes friction. Employees have what they need, new hires feel prepared, candidates leave with a strong impression, visitors are welcomed professionally, and important meetings run smoothly.

You will directly influence each of these experiences while helping Turing strengthen the operational foundation needed to scale.

What You Will Own

Run daily workplace operations. Complete opening and readiness checks, maintain conference rooms and shared spaces, monitor workplace conditions, and coordinate timely resolution of facilities issues.

Deliver a high-touch employee and visitor experience. Serve as a primary onsite resource for employees, candidates, executives, customers, vendors, and visitors, providing responsive support from arrival through departure.

Support interviews, onboarding, and offboarding. Partner with Recruiting, People Operations, IT, and Security to prepare rooms, workstations, equipment, badges, welcome materials, and onsite logistics.

Coordinate vendors and workplace services. Serve as a day-to-day contact for building management and approved service providers, confirm scheduled work, document issues, and escalate service or performance concerns.

Maintain supplies, inventory, and operational records. Track workplace supplies, technology assets, access materials, deliveries, invoices, and recurring service needs using accurate and up-to-date records.

Provide first-level workplace technology support. Check conference room equipment, displays, cameras, microphones, and employee setups; resolve basic issues using documented procedures; and coordinate escalation to IT.

Support meetings, events, and executive visits. Coordinate rooms, hospitality, catering, materials, access, and onsite logistics for leadership meetings, candidate interviews, employee programs, and special events.

Improve recurring workplace processes. Identify friction points, document repeatable procedures, recommend practical improvements, and help build systems that make the office more reliable as Turing grows.

Support access, safety, and confidentiality requirements. Follow established badging, visitor, security, incident-reporting, and workplace-compliance procedures with care and consistency.

Who You Are

Hospitality-minded. You understand that thoughtful service and attention to detail shape how people experience a company.

Hands-on. You are equally comfortable greeting an executive, checking an equipment setup, restocking supplies, or helping prepare a room.

Highly organized. You can manage recurring responsibilities and unexpected requests without losing track of commitments.

Proactive. You notice problems early, take appropriate action, and communicate before an issue becomes disruptive.

Polished and discreet. You handle sensitive workplace, candidate, employee, and leadership information with professionalism.

Eager to learn. You are interested in how different business functions operate and motivated to expand your capabilities over time.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated experience coordinating operations, logistics, events, or customer service through employment, internships, campus leadership, hospitality, administrative work, or another relevant setting.

Proven ability to manage several concurrent requests, maintain an accurate tracker or task list, communicate status, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

Working proficiency with Google Workspace or comparable productivity tools, including calendars, email, documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.

Ability to perform basic workplace-technology checks, follow troubleshooting documentation, and clearly escalate issues to IT or other specialists.

Professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with employees, candidates, vendors, visitors, and senior leaders.

Ability to work full-time in Turing’s Palo Alto office five days per week and support occasional early, evening, or extended hours when business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in workplace operations, hospitality, office administration, recruiting coordination, events, customer service, facilities, or administrative support.

Experience in a high-growth technology company, startup, professional-services environment, hotel, coworking space, or other fast-moving setting.

Experience supporting office vendors, employee onboarding, onsite interviews, events, inventory, or executive meetings.

Familiarity with visitor-management, ticketing, access-control, inventory, audiovisual, or workplace-management systems.

Interest in developing a career in workplace operations, people operations, recruiting, IT operations, executive support, or another operational function.
