Visual QA

A Medior QA Tester is someone who tests and analyzes complete visual campaigns from start to finish, always looking for the best possible quality and making sure it is high enough to be released to the public (or delivered to the client).

Is highly resourceful in the use of graphic design and testing tools, and has experience testing different types of assets such as images, videos, banners, and e-mails.

It is their responsibility to maintain QA authority and ownership in their projects, deliver QA status reports to other project members or producers, create basic testing strategies, and communicate appropriately with other Monks on the team. It also knows how to work under pressure (deadlines), prioritize, and focus on the project's key elements.

Needs to have a strong sense of responsibility for the work they’re assigned to, and keep their lead/operations/devs closely involved. Is expected to be able to work relatively autonomously while continuing to receive feedback from the QA lead or Seniors, participate in discussions with clients, and organize teamwork with junior testers.

SKILLS

- Use Google Drive apps to create and organize documents

- Collaborate with team members

- Learn how to use various features of the apps

- Ability to use fluidly Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and (optionally) After Effects for visual asset review and testing.

- Use these tools to identify and troubleshoot more complex issues with the visual aspects of a product.

TASKS

- Review and test banners, images, videos, and other visual assets as needed, with an eye for detail and accuracy.

- Collaborate with design team to ensure quality of visual assets

- Create and maintain test cases or checklists for visual testing

- Identify bugs on a product that occur during testing

- Use a bug tracking tool to report identified bugs

- Triage: evaluate and prioritize bugs based on their severity and impact

- Communicate issues with stakeholders

- Retest and verify that bugs are fixed
