Vice President, Business Development, Financial Services (BFSI)
About the Team
Turing’s Financial Services team brings enterprise AI into the world’s leading banks, asset managers, private equity firms and insurers. We work with the world’s largest investment banks, largest asset managers and largest private equity firms.
We built this business from the ground up, and we compete with the largest consulting firms every day and win on AI depth.
The Role
This is not a territory handed to you with a book attached. You will open new financial services accounts for Turing and turn each first project into a multi-year AI program. You lead the first relationship conversation, bring in our solutions engineers and AI architects, and own the deal through the first SOW and into the second.
Successful candidates often come from strong careers at services firms or data platforms and see this as the pivot of their career: from the services era into an AI-native company.
For the right person, this is a chance to build the book that defines the next decade of your career.
Why This Role Matters
Financial services firms are done experimenting with AI. They want it running the business: in regulated environments, on data that stays inside the firm, across back-office operations too large to automate by hand. Legacy services firms were not built for this. Turing was: we work with every major frontier AI lab, and we bring that depth into the enterprise.
Over the next 12 months, you will help grow our financial services business 4x. We lead with a platform that stays in place after delivery, so every account you open sets up the next engagement. New MSAs close in about four months, in an industry where they often take years.
What You Will Own
Your target list. Build and own a focused list of financial services accounts: mid-size and regional banks, private equity and alternatives managers, asset managers and insurers. Agree it with the GM, BFSI in your first 90 days.
New logos. Open doors at Managing Director level and above, with COO, CIO and head-of-operations offices. Lead the first relationship conversation yourself.
The deal. Qualify hard on sponsor, budget and intent to reach production. Bring in solutions engineers and AI architects early, direct what they pitch, and scope and price deals that combine platform and services.
The second project. Hand off to an engagement lead after the first SOW and stay accountable for the second. Every first project should have a clear path to a multi-year AI program.
Your forecast. Run a disciplined pipeline and a forecast you can stand behind.
What You Will Not Own
This role intentionally focuses on opening new accounts. You will not:
Manage our existing anchor accounts
Run renewals or account management
Own delivery or engagement P&L
Own technical solution design; our solutions engineers and AI architects do
Who You Are
A hunter. You have opened a new logo in the last three years and can walk through exactly how: the sponsor, the timeline and the second SOW.
A network at the top. Your network runs at Managing Director level and above. Those leaders take your call.
A consultative seller. You lead with the customer’s problem, not the product, and you know how to price deals that combine platform and services.
Tech-savvy. You can whiteboard an AI deployment with an operations leader and tell a solutions engineer exactly what to build.
Performing now. You are doing well where you are, and want a bigger challenge.
Self-directed. You have the drive to work independently and the judgment to stay accountable to a small leadership team.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years selling technology services, data or AI solutions into financial services.
Personally closed first engagements of $1M or more at banks, asset managers, private equity firms or insurers.
Opened at least one new logo in the last three years.
Full-cycle enterprise selling into COO, CIO and head-of-operations offices.
Based in or willing to relocate to New York, with regular travel across the Northeast.
Preferred Qualifications
Co-selling experience with a hyperscaler or AI lab.
Experience selling a data or AI platform alongside services.
Relationships inside alternatives managers, global banks or insurers.
Before You Apply
If your experience is mostly renewals or account management, or you have only sold through procurement, this is not the right role.
If your network stops below Managing Director, this is not the right role.
There is no deck factory here. You will pick up the phone before the materials are polished.
If you want the comfort of a large, slow-moving firm, this is not the right role, and we’d rather you know that now.
For the right person, this is a rare chance to move from the services era into an AI-native company and build a book at one of the defining AI companies of this generation.
