Meade is seeking VDC Coordinators who will be responsible for supporting Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes throughout the project lifecycle. Working under the guidance of VDC leadership, this position assists with model development, clash detection, coordination activities, and project documentation to improve project visualization, collaboration, and constructability.

VDC Coordinators serve as a liaison between design teams, project teams, and field operations, helping ensure model accuracy and reducing potential construction conflicts through proactive coordination and quality control.

Job Duties:

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and field teams to support VDC and BIM project objectives.

Develop, update, and maintain accurate 3D models in accordance with project requirements and company standards.

Assist with model coordination activities, including model reviews, clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution support.

Utilize BIM and other digital construction technologies to improve project visualization, communication, and collaboration.

Support the creation and maintenance of project-specific BIM documentation, workflows, and coordination deliverables.

Assist with the preparation and management of federated models and coordination files in Navisworks and other VDC platforms.

Perform model quality control reviews to ensure compliance with company standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

Troubleshoot basic Revit and Navisworks issues and escalate more complex technical challenges as needed.

Support project teams with model-based construction coordination, constructability reviews, and field implementation efforts.

Assist with training and knowledge sharing related to BIM standards, software tools, and project workflows.

Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in VDC and BIM.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance VDC processes, workflows, and project delivery.

Lead Roles:

Serve as the primary BIM/VDC point person, managing VDC support for multiple projects and leading VDC teams.

Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) in accordance with company standards.

Create and manage federated models, ensuring content from all disciplines is integrated and coordination issues are identified, tracked, and resolved.

Lead clash detection meetings, facilitate internal and external coordination reviews, and ensure alignment with design intent and project goals.

Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Revit and Navisworks, including model performance, worksharing, family management, linked models, and coordination workflows.

Oversee model maintenance, quality control, and adherence to company BIM standards across projects.

Create and customize Revit schedules, including filters, sorting and grouping, calculated values, formatting, and project-specific reporting requirements.

Train, mentor, and develop Modelers, Drafters, and junior VDC staff in Revit, Navisworks, coordination workflows, and BIM best practices.

Support field layout, constructability reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination efforts throughout project execution.Prepare meeting minutes, track coordination issues, and manage BIM-related RFIs and action items.

Manage VDC-related project scope, schedules, and budgets.

Oversee multiple complex projects or large project portfolios simultaneously.

Evaluate VDC processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement technologies, workflows, and standards that enhance project delivery.

Contribute to the development and implementation of regional and national VDC standards, processes, and strategy.

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in VDC, BIM coordination, design technology, construction, engineering, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.

Working knowledge of Revit, including creating and modifying models, views, sheets, families, and project documentation.

Familiarity with Navisworks for model review, coordination, and clash detection.

Understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination processes.

Ability to identify and resolve basic modeling and coordination issues.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.

Willingness to learn new technologies, software platforms, and VDC best practices.

Lead Minimum Qualifications: (includes all of the above plus the below)

4+ years of experience in VDC, BIM coordination, design technology, construction, engineering, or a related field.

Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant VDC/BIM software.

Demonstrated experience performing BIM coordination, model integration, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination workflows.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve advanced Revit and Navisworks issues, including model errors, worksharing conflicts, family management, linked models, and software performance challenges.

Experience creating and customizing Revit schedules, including filters, sorting and grouping, calculated values, formatting, and project-specific reporting requirements.

Experience training, mentoring, and supporting junior staff in Revit, Navisworks, BIM workflows, and industry best practices.

Strong understanding of construction means and methods, MEP systems, and BIM/VDC processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Excellent organizational, project management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Familiarity with applicable construction codes, standards, and regulations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation and benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and may vary based on location and applicable laws. The pay range for this position will be provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.

The estimate pay ranges for this role are as follows:

Level I: $60,000-$78,000

Level II: $84,500-$112,000

Lead: $99,700-$127,700
