Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of data engineering and application development initiatives. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, delivery management, Agile execution, and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on in managing day-to-day sprint activities while working closely with business stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, and product owners to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day delivery across data engineering, application development, APIs, analytics, and reporting initiatives.

Manage Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Develop and maintain sprint plans, delivery schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource assignments.

Track tasks and user stories in Jira, ensuring clear ownership, acceptance criteria, estimates, and timely completion.

Work with customers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into well-defined features and user stories.

Partner with technical architects and engineering teams to validate solution approaches, estimates, and implementation plans.

Monitor delivery progress, identify potential delays, and drive timely resolution of technical and functional blockers.

Ensure teams meet commitments related to scope, schedule, quality, and performance.

Provide clear and concise status reporting to customer and internal leadership.

Coordinate across geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.

Support release planning, testing, deployment, and production-readiness activities.

Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, engineering practices, and team productivity.

Required Technical Experience:

Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including data ingestion, transformation, integration, data pipelines, and analytics.

Working knowledge of:

Databricks

Microsoft Azure

.NET and C#

Azure Web Apps

REST APIs and system integrations

Power BI

Jira and Agile delivery tools

Ability to understand solution architecture, technical designs, data flows, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements.

Experience managing cloud-based data and application development programs.

Ability to engage in technical discussions, challenge assumptions, identify risks, and facilitate decisions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in technology delivery, with at least 4 years in a technical delivery or program management role.

Demonstrated experience leading Agile teams and managing multiple concurrent workstreams.

Strong experience in requirements analysis, backlog management, user-story development, estimation, and sprint execution.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong customer-management and stakeholder-engagement capabilities.

Proven ability to manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and escalations in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working with globally distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Databricks or Microsoft Azure certifications.

Experience delivering enterprise data platforms, analytics solutions, or cloud-modernization programs.

Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, security, and production support.

Experience working in consulting or customer-facing delivery environments.
