As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Teammate Support Specialist to join our People Team in Tampa, Fl.
Position Summary
This role is at the heart of the teammate experience. As a trusted resource for employees, you'll provide guidance and support across the employee lifecycle, helping teammates navigate policies, benefits, leave administration, HR processes, and workplace concerns. You'll partner closely with leaders, People Business Partners, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards to ensure a seamless and positive experience for our teammates.
This is more than a traditional HR support role. You'll have the opportunity to solve complex problems, improve processes, advocate for teammates, and contribute to an employee experience that supports both our people and our mission.
What You'll Do
Serve as a primary point of contact for teammate HR inquiries, providing timely, accurate, and service-oriented support
Support teammates and managers with questions related to benefits, leave programs, payroll, policies, employee records, and HR processes
Administer and track leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, military leave, and other applicable leave requests
Manage employee cases and documentation while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies and employment laws
Partner with Payroll, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and People Business Partners to resolve teammate issues and ensure a consistent employee experience
Support onboarding, offboarding, employment changes, and other employee lifecycle events
Assist with employee relations matters by conducting initial reviews, gathering information, documenting concerns, and escalating issues as appropriate
Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and related systems
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and company policies
Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and teammate satisfaction
Develop and maintain knowledge articles, SOPs, and team resources to improve service delivery and self-service capabilities
What You Bring
2-4+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in shared services role
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field PHR or SHRM-CP (preferred)
Strong customer service mindset with a passion for helping people and resolving issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Solid understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and leave administration
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver practical solutions
Experience in aviation, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries is preferred

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position with typical working hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.
Base Pay Range
The compensation range shown below is a good faith estimate and reflects the expected base pay for this position upon hire. This is just one component of Metrea's overall approach to total rewards and final compensation decisions, including the ultimate salary or hourly rate agreed upon, may vary depending on factors such as job location, job-specific knowledge, skills, experience, and the overall negotiated compensation package. Eligible full-time employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package designed to support their health, wellbeing, and long-term success.

$64,000—$90,000 USD
