Surveyor in Training
Job Description
As a Surveyor in Training (SIT), you will gain hands-on experience supporting a variety of survey projects, including construction staking, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA surveys. Working alongside experienced survey professionals, you will develop your technical expertise in both field and office environments while progressing toward professional licensure. In this role, you'll assist with project research, survey calculations, data collection, and project coordination. You'll collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project teams to deliver accurate and reliable survey data that supports successful project outcomes. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with boundary, topographic, construction and ALTA surveys.
Records survey data and prepare field notes on construction and engineering projects.
Conduct project research and boundary calculations and records survey data.
Coordinates quality control checks to ensure the accuracy of survey data.
Perform both field and office duties, including data processing, drafting support and report preparation
You will work in all types of terrain, in all kinds of weather conditions, and at project sites in various stages of completion.

Associate degree in surveying preferred
A minimum of 6 years of surveying experience
Surveyor in training (SIT) preferred and actively working toward registered land surveyor license
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
