Survey - Oil and Gas
The O&G Party Chief supervises the activities, safety compliance, and policy compliance of the field crew personnel under his/her direction. The responsibilities of the O&G Party Chief include performing the assigned survey tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner that results in consistently thorough and accurate survey data.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform topographic surveys, mapping surveys, boundary surveys, route surveys (including pipelines and transmission lines), construction staking, and as-built surveys.
Utilize and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations, automatic levels, Trimble RTK systems, data collectors, and other specialized tools.
Lead and oversee survey party members, evaluate survey progress, and ensure surveys adhere to company procedures.
Responsible for maintaining work-issued vehicles, laptops, and survey equipment.
Maintain detailed and organized field notes, create field sketches, draw isometric drawings, and capture site photographs in accordance with our standard procedures.
Ensure all surveying equipment is in optimal working condition, with timely calibration and adjustments as needed.
Collect and document survey data accurately, thoroughly, and comprehensively using assigned survey equipment.
Download data, record notes, sketches, pictures, and more at the end of each workday. Enter time, expenses, safety documents, and other administrative records as required.

Qualifications:
3-5 years of survey experience as a Party Chief.
A strong background in surveying techniques and equipment operation. This experience must include all aspects of pipeline surveying.
Proficiency in maintaining and using various surveying tools, Trimble preferred.
Leadership skills to guide survey party members.
Exceptional documentation and reporting abilities.
Diligence in equipment maintenance and calibration.
Hold a valid Driver's License and pass drug screening.
As an O&G Instrument Technician, you'll play a crucial role in the success of our survey work assignments, supporting our O&G Party Chief and contributing to project survey policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize a range of survey equipment, including GPS receivers, Robotic and Conventional Instrumentation, with precision and expertise.
- Conduct field surveys on behalf of our clients, ensuring data accuracy and thoroughness.
- Acquire an understanding of basic field calculations and procedures.
- Perform assigned survey instrumentation operations, taking responsibility for collected survey data.
- Download survey data efficiently and accurately.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data collection using Trimble equipment and associated software products.
- Maintain and operate survey instrumentation throughout the data collection process, ensuring equipment remains in optimal working condition.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in surveying.
Maintain a valid driver's license and pass a drug screen.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical fitness and stamina for extended periods of outdoor work.
