What you'll do

Giga Energy's CEO moves fast across fundraising, customer deals, plant/site operations, and board management, and needs someone who can move with him. As Strategy & Operations under the CEO, you'll operate as his right hand: part executive partner, part operator, part fixer. One day you're building the board deck, the next you're on a plane to a customer site, the next you're running point on a cross-functional technical project. This is a rare opportunity with significant career growth, for someone early in their career to work directly with the CEO, tackling urgent, real business challenges.

Where you'll work

This role is based out of our Houston office and works in lockstep with the CEO in person, the job doesn't work remotely. We'll support relocation for the right person. Expect to travel frequently and often on short notice to other Giga offices (San Francisco, Long Beach), customer sites, investor meetings, and industry events.

Responsibilities

Act as the CEO's strategic and operational right hand — solve complex problems, run research and analysis, prep for high level meetings so his time goes to the highest-leverage work

Own cross-functional projects end-to-end on the CEO's behalf: define the problem, drive the workstream, chase down the people who need to move, and close the loop

Build board decks, investor materials, and executive presentations that turn messy inputs into a clear, compelling narrative

Prepare the CEO for meetings, board sessions, and external engagements; synthesizing background material, drafting talking points, and tracking follow-ups to completion

Travel with or ahead of the CEO to represent Giga at customer sites, manufacturing facilities, and industry events

Manage complex, fast-changing scheduling and travel logistics across time zones and offices, no task considered too big or too small

Research and analyze ad hoc strategic questions — market dynamics, competitor moves, operational bottlenecks — and turn findings into a clear recommendation, not just a summary

Stand in for the CEO in select internal meetings, ensuring decisions are captured and followed through on

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)

2-4+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a similarly rigorous, high-output professional environment

Demonstrated experience building polished, executive-ready presentations (PowerPoint or GSuite)

Strong project management skills, with a track record of driving cross-functional work to completion without hand-holding

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex or ambiguous information into a clear point of view

Strong problem-solving skills and comfort operating with incomplete information

Willingness and ability to travel extensively, often on short notice

Ability to relocate to and work in-person from Houston, TX

Bonus Points

Prior consulting, banking, or strategy experience in the energy, power, or industrial infrastructure sectors

Experience directly supporting a CEO, founder, or senior executive

Experience in a high-growth startup environment
