Strategic Communications Manager
Position Summary
Antora is hiring a Strategic Communications Manager to tell our story clearly and persuasively. This role sits at the intersection of communications, commercial, and policy (it's not a PR or social-media-first role). You'll shape how customers, communities, and policymakers understand what Antora does and why it matters. That means learning the substance fast, judging what each audience needs to hear, and making the decks, one-pagers, and other content that deliver it.
You might come from a communications background, or you might have experience in consulting, policy, campaigns, marketing, or something else entirely. Either way, you excel at making complicated things clear, and you're eager to jump in wherever the company needs help: a community meeting, a conference, or a cross-functional project. You'll use AI as a partner to produce better content faster and take on more than one person normally could. You'll also own the tools and workflows that keep our content accurate and make it easier for the rest of the company to tell our story.
Roles & Responsibilities
Build and adapt Antora's decks, one-pagers, and other materials for each audience and use case, from a quick pass on an existing deck to new materials for a market we haven't pitched before.
Produce and edit written content, talking points, posts, thought leadership, videos, and graphics that tell Antora's story at the right depth for each use case, from making a big-picture pitch to explaining a nuance in energy market dynamics.
Support cross-functional priorities across the company, bringing sharp judgment and polished materials to high-stakes events, new partnerships, and strategic projects.
Support the policy and commercial teams on community engagement, policy initiatives, and demonstrating Antora's value to utilities and grid operators.
Drive execution of announcements and executive communications, including launch plans, website updates, partner coordination, speaker prep, and executive social media.
Run and expand our AI-assisted communications workflows, help teammates use AI to produce their own communications, and maintain the single source of truth for the facts those workflows depend on.
Key Qualifications
3+ years in communications, marketing, consulting, policy, campaigns, or a related role, with a track record of making complicated things clear. We care more about what you've built and how fast you learn than how many years of experience you have.
Experience building content from scratch and owning it end to end, across formats and for different audiences.
Strong writing and editing skills, paired with judgment on what to surface and what to leave behind.
Appetite to take on whatever the company needs, from strategic priorities to the details that make them work, and the ability to move fast across many projects and shifting priorities.
Comfort with basic design, including the ability to build a clean deck or one-pager and direct a designer when needed.
Deep use of AI tools, including workflows you've built, and a habit of pushing what they can do.
Experience getting up to speed on new subjects quickly and working directly with subject matter experts to get the details right.
Genuine interest in Antora's mission and a collaborative, low-ego approach.
Additional Qualifications Desired
Strong understanding of the energy sector, energy technology, and energy markets.
Experience managing corporate or executive social media channels.
Experience with graphic design or video production.
Exposure to policy, political, or community engagement work.
