SHIFT: 1st with a 4AM start, 1st with a 9AM start or 2nd with a 4PM start

POSITION SUMMARY

Based out of our Byron Center, MI facility, the Stone Fabrication team fabricates quartz, granite, and other hard surface countertops.  Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Stone Countertop Fabrication team is responsible for:

Job layout and optimization of materials

Properly measuring and cutting materials (includes use of saws, routers, polishers, wizard, etc)

Building countertops to customer specifications

Preparing and labeling countertops for shipment

Maintaining the fabrication schedule with the office to stay on time (using overtime if needed)

Machine maintenance and upkeep along with tooling upkeep

Maintaining granite inventory levels for stock replenishment

Logging material use for each job for the office to maintain inventory levels in the system and apply appropriate cost of material to each job

Assisting the rest of the shop team in terms of shop cleanliness and maintenance

Assisting other shop members with moving tops and basic shop work flow

Modifying/Adjusting other materials as needed (i.e. splash milling, quartz top adjustment etc.)

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance for uniform, protective footwear, and PPE.

WHO WE NEED:

High School diploma/GED required

Prior CNC Experience is a plus

Hilo operator’s license (will train if needed)

Prior fabrication or construction experience desired

Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 100 lbs

Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day

Ability to bend, twist, and stoop

Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabricate from digital templates and CAD drawings.

Ability to read a tape measure and understand dimensions.

Knowledge of mathematics including fractions and decimals

Ability to effectively work and communicate with fellow employee owners

Ability to or willingness to learn to operate tools listed above and obtain new skills

Knowledge of structural design integrity

Self-starter
