As a Staff (tech-lead level) engineer you will work on Singularity Marketplace - multi-tenant, event-driven platform that enables third-party integration applications to safely deploy, execute, and stream data across our AI SIEM ecosystem. We are looking for a pragmatic platform architect who understands the messy, real-world realities of third-party vendor APIs; that context is what separates sound platform decisions from theoretical ones. However, this is fundamentally an infrastructure and core platform role. Your primary goal isn't to build individual connectors, but to design the API contracts, runtime abstractions, isolation mechanisms, and microservices that enable dozens of teams and third parties to build connectors safely at petabyte scale.

What Will You Do?

Primary responsibilities include:

Integration & Product Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with Product Managers and engineering teams to define requirements for integrating third-party vendors with the SentinelOne platform, establishing the Singularity Marketplace / Operations Center as the central hub in the security team's toolkit

Explore products from various cybersecurity vendors and widely used industry tools to determine how to ingest and correlate their data

Incorporate third-party data into the SentinelOne platform so customers can correlate information across vendors, surface insights, and respond quickly to threats

Provide security research context on how 3rd-party data maps to the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) and how it's used for triage, investigation, and response

Follow internal processes for communicating schema and API changes to maintain OCSF parity across the platform

Platform Engineering Responsibilities

Develop and extend the Java/Kotlin (Spring Boot) integrations platform that gives customers an interactive UI for onboarding third-party products and vendors

Design and maintain event-driven microservices communicating over Apache Kafka that process entity activities, XDR alerts, and external triggers at scale

Own core infrastructure across the entire request lifecycle, spanning edge/ingress gateways, API routing layers, and high-performance relational databases (PostgreSQL/Aurora RDS) while enforcing secure JWT/OAuth authentication and shared security libraries.

Participate in on-call, incident response, and troubleshooting for a multi-region, multi-cluster production platform (Kafka lag, reconciliation failures, DB connection exhaustion, ingress routing issues, etc.)

Contribute to GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Helm, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) for building, testing, and deploying services and functions across environments

What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

Modern Java/Kotlin Ecosystem: Deep hands-on expertise in Java/Kotlin, and Spring Boot, paired with strong system design fundamentals. (Knowledge of Go or Rust is a plus)

Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Apache Kafka or equivalent), including topics, consumer groups, and streaming pipelines

Ability to research and reverse-engineer APIs from documentation and technical specifications, and model them into structured data schemas

Demonstrated technical leadership experience - shaping engineering best practices and driving their adoption across a team

Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments, including Helm charts, ingress controllers (e.g., Traefik), and operator/reconciler patterns

Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP)

Experience developing integration or contract tests (e.g., pytest) and working within CI/CD pipelines

Big Advantage would be any of: Familiarity with serverless/FaaS platforms (e.g., AWS Lambda); Experience building data-intensive systems (ingestion, transformation, normalization, validation) and integrating complex third-party APIs; Practical engineering experience building production software utilizing LLMs or AI agents, with an emphasis on evaluation frameworks, testing, guardrails, and data pipeline integration; and Experience operating distributed, multi-region production systems (debugging Kafka consumer lag, ingress/routing issues, connection pool exhaustion, reconciliation failures)

Why SentinelOne?

AI is redefining how the world operates and rewriting the rules of security in real time, and SentinelOne was built for this moment. From day one, we architected an AI-native platform designed to operate at machine speed, not as an add-on to legacy systems but as the foundation itself. If you want to build where innovation and impact move together, this is that place.
