Staff Product Designer
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Product Designer with strong product thinking, exceptional visual craft, and a passion for simplifying complex problems through thoughtful design.
You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to turn ambiguous ideas and opportunities into intuitive, accessible, and production-ready experiences. You’ll play a key role in shaping the product experience from early concepts and exploration through execution and launch.
This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership in an early-stage AI company, work on complex and innovative products, and help define how users interact with AI-powered experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end product design process, from understanding customer problems and defining experiences to concept exploration, prototyping, and delivering production-ready designs.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to translate complex and ambiguous problems into simple, intuitive customer experiences.
Conduct user and product discovery to understand customer needs, workflows, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
Design clear, accessible, and trustworthy experiences that balance customer needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and the unique considerations of AI-powered products.
Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction models, and high-fidelity designs that communicate both the experience and underlying product thinking.
Contribute to and evolve the JazzX AI design system, including components, patterns, interaction standards, and visual guidelines.
Collaborate closely with Engineering during implementation to ensure the final product reflects the intended experience and maintains a high bar for quality.
Use customer feedback, product insights, and data to continuously iterate and improve experiences after launch.
Help establish strong design practices and raise the overall UX, interaction, and visual design quality across the organization.
Required Qualifications
Strong product thinking combined with exceptional visual and interaction design skills.
Proven ability to simplify complex workflows, systems, and information into intuitive and easy-to-understand experiences.
Experience taking design problems from discovery and problem definition through execution and launch.
Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, interaction design, accessibility, and usability.
Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, and early-stage environments.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering polished, production-ready experiences.
A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work and the ability to solve complex product problems.
Preferred Skills
Experience designing AI-powered products or enterprise software.
Experience working with and evolving design systems, including reusable components, patterns, and interaction standards.
Strong understanding of designing for complex enterprise workflows and data-rich experiences.
Experience working closely with Engineering through implementation and product launch.
Ability to balance established design patterns with the need to create new solutions for emerging product problems.
Experience using customer insights, feedback, and product data to drive design decisions and iteration.
Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth technology environment.
