About the Team:
The Acquisition Engineering team owns the new-visitor journey end-to-end — from the first landing page through sign-up, meal selection, and checkout. Our northstar is conversion rate: we run high-velocity experiments on high-traffic surfaces where small improvements translate directly into business growth. We recently rebuilt the acquisition funnel from the ground up and now operate a modern, experiment-ready platform.
The role:
As a Staff Engineer (front-end or full-stack) on the Acquisition team, you will be the technical leader of the surfaces where the business is won: you will drive architecture across the funnel and landing pages, raise the team's bar through mentorship and standards, and act as the engineering counterpart to Product and Data on experiment design and measurement quality. You will spend part of your time hands-on and part multiplying the team's output.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert in modern frontend technologies, including React and Next.js, with a strong focus on architecture and performance.
Mentor and educate developers on clean code methodologies through knowledge sharing and PR reviews.
Work cross-functionally (Product, Design, and Data) to develop and deploy applications and features on time with high quality.
Design and uphold the technical standard for A/B experiments on acquisition surfaces (feature gates, exposure logging, tracking integrity) — including experiments run by adjacent teams on our surfaces.
Drive observability and performance as first-class concerns: RUM instrumentation, funnel-step metrics, and cross-device/browser quality.
Lead complex integrations with backend platform services (auth, pricing, promotions) as we evolve our platform.
Implement best practices to enable the team to ship quality code faster.
Helping to have higher levels of uptime & supporting the on-call rotation that will help the business run 24/7.
Minimum Requirements:
Prior experience building and shipping complex customer facing applications at scale.
Strong experience with modern React and Next.js.
Hands-on experience with A/B testing / feature-flag platforms (Statsig, LaunchDarkly, or similar) and experiment instrumentation.
Experience with web analytics and telemetry tools (Segment, Datadog RUM, or similar) and using data to drive engineering decisions.
Experience working with CMS-driven sites (Contentful or similar).
Passion for shipping world-class products for our users!
Have excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Willing to experiment with, test, and learn new technologies.
Handle ambiguity and quickly evolving priorities.
Be self-motivated and eager to learn new things!
Natural leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
Advanced level of English.
Preferred requirements:
Experience on growth or conversion-focused teams.
Accessibility (WCAG) experience.
Are able to thrive on small, collaborative engineering teams.
Have experience in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the food technology sector is a plus.
