About the Role

This position reports to Sleep Doctor's Sleep Care Manager and is a fully remote role. As a Sr. Scoring Technician (RPSGT or RRT-SDS), you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of home sleep study interpretations through expert manual review and scoring. Working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment, you will apply your clinical expertise to validate automated scoring, identify clinically significant events, and ensure studies meet the highest standards before physician review.

In this role, you'll contribute directly to the delivery of timely, high-quality patient care by maintaining exceptional scoring accuracy while supporting operational efficiency. You'll collaborate closely with the clinical team, participate in quality assurance initiatives, and help maintain scoring consistency across the organization through adherence to AASM guidelines and company protocols.

What You'll Do

Perform manual review and scoring of home sleep studies in accordance with AASM scoring guidelines and company protocols.

Review automated scoring results and apply clinical judgment to validate and correct sleep staging, respiratory events, oxygen desaturations, arousals, and other clinically relevant data.

Ensure scoring accuracy while consistently meeting productivity expectations in a high-volume workflow.

Identify studies requiring physician review or clinical escalation based on established protocols.

Maintain detailed documentation and quality standards throughout the scoring process.

Participate in quality assurance reviews, calibration exercises, and ongoing scoring consistency initiatives.

Collaborate with physicians and clinical team members to support timely study completion and efficient workflow.

Stay current with AASM scoring rule updates, industry best practices, and emerging sleep medicine standards.

Contribute to continuous process improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and workflow.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Current Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist–Sleep Disorders Specialist (RRT-SDS) credential required. Additional state licensure may be required based on the states in which services are provided.

Minimum of 5–8 years of sleep study scoring experience required.

Extensive experience performing manual scoring and quality review of sleep studies.

Strong knowledge of AASM scoring guidelines and sleep medicine principles.

Experience reviewing automated scoring and making clinically appropriate corrections.

Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to scoring accuracy and consistency.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment while adapting quickly to changing priorities, workflows, and business needs.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to consistently meet productivity goals.

Proficiency with sleep scoring software and electronic health record systems.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a remote clinical team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience scoring Home Sleep Tests (HSTs); WatchPAT and CloudPat experience preferred.

Previous experience performing quality assurance, scoring audits, or scoring oversight.

Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to evolving workflows.

Compensation Range

Base Pay: $32.00 to $37.00 per hour.  Note that final compensation is subject to the candidate’s specific qualifications and location, as well as the needs of the company.

The Company currently provides medical, vision, and dental insurance and 100% of the employee  medical, vision,   and   dental   premiums  covered   by   the   Company.  There is an option to participate in both a medical FSA and dependent care FSA. We offer a 401(k) plan, with fully matching contributions up to 3% of salary and 50% matching from 3% to 5% of salary.
