We're seeking a Senior Imaging & Computer Vision Architect to help define the future of camera, imaging, video, and AI capabilities across Ambiq's next-generation SoC platforms.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our architecture team, you'll drive the definition and development of advanced imaging and computer vision architectures optimized for ultra-low-power operation. You'll work across hardware, software, AI, applications, and product teams to transform concepts into market-leading solutions.

Responsibilities include:

Define imaging, ISP, video, and computer vision architectures for future Ambiq products

Develop architecture specifications, power/performance models, system flows, and use-case definitions

Drive camera image quality and imaging pipeline strategy

Evaluate and integrate external and internal imaging, video, and AI IP

Partner with software teams to define APIs, hardware abstraction layers, and imaging frameworks

Collaborate with FPGA, design, verification, and physical design teams through implementation

Support customer engagements to understand requirements and align product capabilities with market needs

Contribute to product roadmaps and next-generation imaging technology strategy

What We're Looking For

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

8+ years of imaging, ISP, video, computer vision, AI accelerator, or related architecture experience

Proven experience creating architecture specifications for complex SoCs or hardware platforms

Expertise in one or more of the following:

Image Signal Processing (ISP)

Camera Systems

Computer Vision

Video Encode/Decode

Neural Network Acceleration

Embedded AI

Experience delivering products from concept through silicon validation

Strong understanding of low-power mobile, wearable, or IoT systems

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred:

MS or PhD

Advanced process node experience

Team leadership or technical leadership experience
