We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a remote-first, cross-functional team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) responsible for the quality and reliability of all Cribl products. This is a hands-on leadership role in ensuring that quality is built-in from the start of the software development lifecycle, implementing test strategy from design to release with agentic workflows. You’ll play a key role in driving engineering excellence, delivering high-quality products to our customers.

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will…

Own the quality strategy across Cribl products and communicate metrics for data-driven prioritization of the team’s roadmap

Lead continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, root-cause analysis, and escape-rate reduction.

Continuously optimize end to end pipelines for both quality and velocity, removing bottlenecks for both people and agentic workflows

Foster a "customer first" mindset by continuously running failure analysis to close the testing gap with customer deployments

Establish a strong partnership with product management and engineering managers to ensure quality standards are implemented from the start

Coach, mentor, and grow a remote-first team of exceptional test engineers focusing on agentic workflows

This position may include stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties

If You’ve Got It - We Want It

Hands-on experience in establishing testing strategy and defining quality metrics for products that will be deployed in both SaaS as well as customer managed environments

Thorough understanding of the SDLC and the changes required for agentic development

Strong understanding of test architecture, automation, CI/CD, observability, release management, and root-cause analysis.

Experience with AI-developed tests and workflows

BS CS/EE or equivalent practical experience with 10+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location and will be based on the individual candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

In addition to base salary, for sales and some sales-adjacent roles, employees are eligible to earn incentive compensation (commission). For all other roles, employees are eligible to participate in the Cribl Corporate Bonus Program.

Base Salary Range

$225,000—$270,000 USD
