The Role You'll Play

Playlist is looking for a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead strategic finance partnership across our B2B SaaS business, supporting the Studio Fitness and Beauty verticals. In this highly visible role, you’ll bring a commercial and financial perspective to decisions about revenue growth, go-to-market strategy, investment, forecasting, and business performance.

As a trusted partner to General Managers and senior leaders, you’ll connect financial performance to business drivers, challenge assumptions, and help the organization navigate complex tradeoffs. You’ll also lead and develop a globally distributed FP&A team of approximately six team members across the U.S. and Brazil.

Serve as the senior finance partner for Playlist’s B2B SaaS business to translate business strategy into financial plans, forecasts, and targets, across Studio Fitness and Beauty (Mindbody, Booker, and new products)

Collaborate with General Managers, senior go-to-market leaders, and product/engineering leaders to ensure alignment of financial performance, stakeholder priorities, and operational discipline to achieve long-term goals for the business

Own revenue forecasting and performance management, including annual planning and monthly business reviews, to ensure leaders understand clear connection between financial results and commercial performance

Guide decisions about growth, investment, prioritization, and resource allocation by challenging assumptions and offering an independent financial perspective

Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases that support strategic initiatives, annual planning, and executive decisions

Lead, coach, and develop a distributed FP&A team across the U.S. and Brazil, strengthening its commercial capabilities and partnership with the business

Advance the FP&A function by improving forecasting, processes, insights, and decision support as Playlist evolves

Support strategic initiatives, including potential M&A and financial due diligence, and take on additional ownership across the B2B portfolio as needed

The Experience You’ll Bring

10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or a related area, including significant support for revenue and go-to-market organizations

3+ years of people leadership experience, with a track record of developing effective finance teams

Deep fluency in B2B SaaS economics: subscription business models, payments processing, unit economics including ARR/MRR/GRR/NRR, cohort retention, CAC and payback

Expertise in financial modeling,forecasting, planning, and data analysis, with the ability to distill complex data and financial topics into clear strategic insight and compelling narratives for executives, the Board, and investors

Experience with enterprise planning and reporting systems (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, NetSuite) and a point of view on applying AI and automation to finance workflows

A track record of growing your responsibility, scope, and impact over time

Nice to Have

Deep experience supporting go-to-market teams within a B2B SaaS or recurring-revenue business

Experience working across multiple products, business units, or customer segments

Consulting, strategic finance, high-growth startup experience, or PE-backed technology company

Experience navigating significant organizational or revenue growth

Exposure to M&A, financial due diligence, or strategic transactions

Experience leading teams across geographies or time zones

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role goes beyond delivering an accurate forecast. You’ll become a trusted strategic finance partner to Playlist’s B2B leadership team, bringing a deep understanding of the business and an independent, commercially minded perspective to critical decisions.

You’ll strengthen the connection between strategy, revenue performance, go-to-market execution, and financial outcomes. You’ll also build a proactive finance team that is closely connected to the business and equipped to help Playlist understand where it’s going financially and what it will take to get there.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

The base salary range for this position in the United States is $215,000 to $260,000. The total compensation package for this position may also include a performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans
