Sr. Collections Analyst
GAQ128R85
Databricks is looking for a Senior Collections Analyst to own a high-volume accounts receivable (AR) portfolio in a fast-growing, usage-based SaaS business. The role drives timely collections, reduces delinquency, protects cash flow and leads recovery on complex, high-value accounts, while helping shape credit risk decisions. Working closely with Sales, Legal, Billing, Revenue Operations, Cash Application and Finance leadership to resolve disputes, billing gaps and customer escalations, the role has a measurable impact on DSO and bad debt exposure and requires regular overlap with EMEA and PST business hours.
Job Description
Own end-to-end portfolio collections and recovery strategies, partnering cross-functionally to resolve high-value escalations, influence credit risk decisions, and drive measurable performance across DSO, aging buckets, and bad debt exposure.
Design and run recovery strategies for accounts that are structurally delinquent or high-risk.
Lead cross-functional escalation forums for disputed high-value accounts.
Present portfolio-level risk trends and actionable insights to Finance leadership.
Recommend credit limit changes, payment term changes or account holds based on behavioral analytics.
Work with Legal on pre-legal actions and structured recovery plans.
Assess creditworthiness, establish risk controls, and lead complex recoveries to protect working capital and minimize bad debt exposure.
Build scalable reporting models that give clear visibility into aging, dispute velocity and payment predictability.
Flag worsening payment patterns, and provide quarterly bad debt reserve inputs with documented risk rationale for each account.
Act as the subject matter expert on usage-based billing disputes and contract interpretation. Resolve complex disputes about usage, contract terms and invoicing discrepancies.
Handle exceptions from automated dunning, and lead the clean-up of aged AR.
Manage high-volume customer communication and escalations in Collections Tool, with structured follow-through.
Work with Cash Application to keep unapplied cash low and resolve posting gaps.
Find the systemic billing, consumption or process gaps that cause repeat delinquency. Work with Billing and Revenue Operations to put corrective frameworks in place.
Perform detailed account reconciliations in NetSuite to keep AR accurate and audit-ready.
Help standardize collections processes so they are faster and can scale, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for new or improved systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is a must. Additional Accounting Qualification is a plus.
10+ years of collections experience, ideally with both public/private technology companies.
A track record of owning large, complex, high-value AR portfolios with measurable impact on DSO and cash.
Working knowledge of usage-based billing models and contract structures.
Demonstrated ownership of high-value, complex AR portfolios with material cash impact.
A proven ability to influence commercial stakeholders in high-pressure recovery situations.
Experience supporting reserve discussions and credit risk decisions.
Strong commercial judgment, balancing revenue protection against the risk to customer relationships.
Ability to synthesize large data sets into executive-level risk insights.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite / Salesforce with fluency with AI tools, including automated dunning solutions is preferred.
