The Opportunity

As a Solution Architect within our Customer Success division, you will operate as a premier technical leader and trusted advisor to high-profile clients. This role is vital right now because customers are rapidly shifting toward secure, unified cloud architectures. You will combine your advanced engineering, product, and business skills to design integrated architectures, navigate complex compliance, author winning technical proposals, and empower agencies to achieve true Enterprise-Grade Orchestration.

What You’ll Do

Architect Secure Solutions: Advise customers on the technical design, multi-tier architecture, and deployment of Appian solutions across hybrid environments.

Drive Federal Growth: Partner with sales teams to author high-value proposals and whitepapers, crafting differentiated technical solutions and strategic delivery roadmaps.

Lead DevSecOps & Automation: Guide clients on cutting-edge software development practices, program governance, and delivery automation—including Infrastructure Automation and modern DevSecOps pipelines.

Champion Agile Execution: Direct the configuration, testing, and deployment of enterprise applications following agile frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe.

Cultivate Innovation: Distill complex technical challenges into repeatable best practices, creating next-generation corporate capabilities and intellectual property to keep Appian at the forefront of the market.

Advise Executive Stakeholders: Present and vet integrated solutions, complex technical concepts, and enterprise architecture designs to senior client engineers.

Required Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

Experience: 10+ years of multi-tier enterprise application design and architecture, combined with 5+ years of experience advising customers on cloud computing platforms.

Federal Cloud Architecture: Proven track record architecting secure cloud environments using AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure (e.g., C2S, JWICS, GovCloud).

Proposal & Project Mastery: Demonstrated experience authoring technical federal proposals/whitepapers and leading large-scale IT delivery under agile frameworks.

Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience accelerating IT systems through the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Hands-on knowledge of DevSecOps tooling and frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Cucumber, JMeter).

Professional credentials such as PMP, or advanced cloud engineering/architecture certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

We value experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce or ServiceNow, as these skills translate well into our Enterprise-Grade Orchestration environment.

The base salary range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant work experience, qualifications, internal peer equity, and market and business conditions that exist when extending an offer. A discretionary bonus may be awarded in recognition of individual and company performance.

Base Salary Range

$1,125,000—$1,975,000 MXN
