Solutions Architect (Germany or Austria)
Commvault Professional Services help our customers to plan, design, implement and maintain world-class information management platforms to simplify and secure their backup and disaster recovery architecture and maximize the value of their data. As the flagship role within the organization, the Solution Architect is expected to deliver a wide range of projects of all sizes and scopes, from small deployments or upgrades to large-scale consulting and design engagements.
Position Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise Commvault Software and SaaS solutions.
Advise customers on data protection, cyber recovery, cloud transformation, compliance, and operational resilience strategies.
Produce high-level and low-level solution designs, implementation plans, and technical documentation.
Deliver complex global deployments, migrations, upgrades, and remediation projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across customer environments.
Develop automation and operational improvements that enhance service quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with global architects, engineering teams, and customer stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
Act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring customer success, solution adoption, and long-term value realisation.
Maintain expertise in emerging technologies, cyber resilience, cloud platforms, and Commvault best practices.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
Fluent German (C2) and English (C1) language skills.
Proven advanced experience of designing and/or operating Commvault solutions in the enterprise
Strong knowledge of enterprise data protection, cyber resilience, disaster recovery, and information management solutions
Experience with public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), private cloud, virtualisation, containers, and enterprise storage technologies
Strong understanding of networking, Linux, Windows, databases, and Microsoft 365 workloads
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and organisational skills
Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Willingness to travel
