Your Impact

As a Solar Field Service Technician I (Utility-Scale / PV Repair), you’ll work on large, utility-scale solar farms—not residential or rooftop systems. You’ll handle troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of ground-mount solar systems, central/string inverters, and power plant equipment. You’re responsible for making sure work is done safely, correctly, and on schedule.

This is a 100% travel position.

Core Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits

Perform testing: LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, IR scans

Perform operations and maintenance (O&M) on utility-scale solar plants

Inspect completed work and ensure it meets quality and safety standards

Enforce safety requirements (OSHA, NFPA 70E) on-site

Diagnose system issues and resolve them in the field

Complete work orders, service logs, and required documentation

Operate and maintain company vehicle and tools

Core Experience (Utility-Scale Required)

1-2+ years of utility-scale solar experience (solar farms / ground-mount systems)

Experience working on megawatt-scale PV systems (NOT residential rooftop solar)

Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills (inverters, DC systems, power electronics)

Experience with solar O&M / maintenance work

Working knowledge of OSHA / NFPA 70E safety standards

Experience using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and testing equipment

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Physical / Work Environment

Lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs

100% travel role (frequent travel to solar farm sites)

Work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, dust)

Must follow all OSHA and company safety requirements

Compensation: $20.00-$25.00 hourly/DOE
