Software Engineer - Platform Integration
The Role
We are seeking a backend Software Engineer to join the Platform Integration team!
We are looking for a software engineer to join us in building client onboarding solutions, to enable clients to bring their data onto our systems, allowing them to report, analyze, and understand their data, and work with all their data in one central place.
We interface with product and client solutions teams to gain a deep understanding of the data and of clients' needs. We implement performant workflows and data systems that our users depend on for their day-to-day operations. We build with quality and user experience in mind to ensure internal teams experience low friction and high scalability in onboarding clients’ financial data.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.
The current range for this role is $142,000 - $178,000. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment. (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You'll Do
Work as part of a team of engineers to build and maintain data systems that reliably process large volumes of client financial data
Identify and resolve scale bottlenecks as data volumes grow
Collaborate multi-functionally with Product, Client Solution teams, and other engineering teams to deliver holistic client onboarding solutions
Communicate technical ideas clearly and collaborate with teammates on engineering direction for projects
Who You Are
Experience as a backend software engineer, preferably with Python and/or Java and relational databases
A strong ownership mentality and strong communication skills. You enjoy taking ideas from inception through to production.
Comfort working through data scale and performance issues — optimizing pipelines and workflows as data volume and complexity grow
Experience with data processing and analysis using PySpark or similar frameworks is a plus
Experience building data systems using Databricks and/or AWS is a plus
