About the Role

As a Software Engineer III on the Developer Productivity team, you'll help build systems on our Python-based agentic platform that turn inputs such as Jira tickets, Slack conversations, help-desk requests, and CRM signals into clearly scoped, human-supervised engineering work—then help implement, review, and improve that work.

You'll contribute to systems that clarify problem statements, generate implementation plans, run a conversational Slack intake experience, and assist engineers with repository discovery, plan execution, testing, and pull request creation. You'll also help build the platform behaviors—permissions, auditability, evaluation, observability, rollback, and cost controls—that make all of this dependable at scale.

The Developer Productivity team owns the tooling, automation, and standards that make engineers across ZoomInfo more productive, and is becoming the company's center of gravity for AI-assisted development. You'll be working within an ecosystem of internal developer platforms, PR and workflow automation tools, and AI devex tooling that spans code review, dependency management, and agent orchestration.

Our engineering culture values diversity, intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and openness. We encourage collaboration, big thinking, and calculated risk-taking in a blame-free environment. You'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects while receiving the support and mentorship needed to grow your career..

What You'll Do

Help design and build systems that convert bug reports and feature requests into clarified problem statements, implementation plans, and approval gates before any execution

Contribute to a conversational Slack intake experience that notifies the right people, asks targeted follow-up questions, converts confirmed requirements into Jira, and hands work to the delivery workflow

Help normalize additional sources of demand—such as help desk, Salesforce, or operational alerts—while preserving provenance, urgency, ownership, and customer context

Build tooling that assists engineers with implementation: repository discovery, plan execution, automated testing, pull request creation, and concise evidence of what changed

Contribute to automated pull request review for correctness, regressions, test coverage, maintainability, and policy concerns, while keeping merge approval with people

Help build the platform behaviors that make agentic workflows dependable: permissions, auditability, evaluation, observability, rollback, and cost controls

Leverage AI-powered development tools (such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, improve code quality, and solve complex technical challenges

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices

Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with teammates

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed, agentic systems

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

3-5 years of backend software development experience, with strong proficiency in Typescript, NodeJs, and ReactJS

Experience designing and troubleshooting distributed systems

Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture

Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)

Familiarity integrating third-party APIs (e.g., Jira, Slack, Salesforce)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Hands-on experience building or working with LLM-based or agentic systems (agent orchestration, tool-calling, evaluation frameworks)

Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms)

Familiarity with internal developer productivity platforms—data pipelines/lakes, PR automation and AI code review tooling, dependency management automation, or similar

Experience with Node.js or Java for backend development

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and observability/monitoring practices
