Why you want this job

As a Software Engineer II at SeekWell, you'll help build the systems that power critical business operations and customer experiences. These include primarily backend services (REST and SOAP) as well as internal applications used across the organization. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and Product Management to design solutions, write quality code, build automated tests, and deliver measurable business value. Working within our Kanban workflow in Jira, you'll have opportunities to expand your cloud, architecture, and software craftsmanship skills while taking ownership of features from design through production

Work Environment

Hybrid: Work from home with 1-2 days per week onsite in Draper, UT

Occasional on-call rotation to support our 24/7 production systems

What You'll Do

Develop, document, and maintain platform services and internal applications using C#, SQL, AWS, WinForms, and Angular

Create and maintain code that seamlessly integrates with third-party services

Participate actively in collaborative design sessions, code reviews, and pull requests

Support and contribute to our CI/CD pipeline processes

Complete projects independently or in a pair while collaborating effectively with the team

Implement automated tests, including developing frameworks and tools for efficient testing at different layers like Playwright for Web UI and API automation

Build and perform complex testing of REST APIs and microservices using advanced tools and methodologies

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

2-4 years of professional software development experience using C#, SQL, and modern development practices

Experience developing and supporting applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred)

Ability to efficiently tackle problems at any stage of the software lifecycle

Experience effectively leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar technologies to improve productivity, code quality, learning, and problem-solving.

Growth mindset demonstrated through continuous learning, embracing challenges, and developing new technical skills

Able to deliver well-defined projects and tasks with appropriate guidance and support

Ability to work and communicate effectively in a collaborative technology team environment

Demonstrates initiative in identifying improvements and contributing ideas to enhance systems and processes

Comfortable troubleshooting application and production issues with support from teammates when needed

Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks

Demonstrated ability to provide and receive constructive feedback in a respectful and collaborative environment.

Eager to learn and grow through mentorship, code reviews, and collaboration with experienced engineers
