About the Role

As a Social Designer, you'll create and adapt high-quality design work for social media, partnering with a creative team to build strong visual concepts for an iconic automotive brand. You will bring ideas to life across different channels while keeping a close eye on brand guidelines, quality standards, and local market needs. Responsibilities:

Creative Leadership

Lead the conceptual and visual development of social media campaigns for a globally recognized automotive brand.

Partner with Content and Creative teams to generate innovative concepts and creative solutions for local and regional markets.

Ensure all creative output meets the highest standards of craft, brand consistency, and visual excellence.

Review, direct, and approve design work produced by the team, providing clear and actionable feedback.

Maintain a strong understanding of social media trends, platform best practices, audience behaviors, and emerging creative opportunities.

Team Management & Development

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of designers, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing environment.

Conduct regular feedback, and performance conversations to support individual growth and career development.

Help onboard new team members and promote design best practices, workflows, and quality standards across the team.

Encourage a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and creative excellence.

Project & Stakeholder Management

Oversee the visual side of social media calendars and campaign deliverables across multiple markets.

Balance multiple projects and priorities while ensuring deadlines and quality expectations are consistently met.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align creative solutions with business objectives and market needs.

Present creative concepts, design rationale, and final work to clients and internal stakeholders with confidence.

Support resource planning, workload management, and project prioritization within the design team.

Hands-On Design Execution

Contribute directly to design projects when needed, taking work from concept through final execution.

Conduct image research and visual exploration to identify the strongest creative solutions for campaigns and deliverables.

Create and adapt assets across social media platforms while maintaining brand consistency.

Develop client presentations, creative decks, and design documentation as required.

Creative Tools & AI

Advanced proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma and Google Workspace

Advanced proficiency with AI tools (Runway, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Gemini)

Familiarity with motion, video, and content creation tools is a plus (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar).

Experience leveraging AI-powered creative tools to enhance ideation, concept development, image generation, content adaptation, workflow efficiency, and creative exploration.

Ability to evaluate and apply emerging AI technologies responsibly while maintaining high standards of creativity, brand consistency, quality, and legal/compliance requirements.

Passion for staying current with new design technologies, AI capabilities, social media trends, and evolving creative workflows.

About You

The essentials:

5+ years of professional design experience, preferably within digital agencies, 2 years leading a design team.

Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing designers in a fast-paced creative environment.

Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and social-first creative execution.

Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).

Additional experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, After Effects, Premiere Pro, or motion design software is a plus.

Fluent in English, with strong communication and presentation skills.

Deep understanding of design fundamentals, including typography, composition, visual hierarchy, interaction design, storytelling, and brand systems.

Experience creating client-facing presentations using PowerPoint and/or Google Slides.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Not a must, but a plus:

Experience or familiarity with digital and motion tools like Figma, Sketch, After Effects, or video/color editing.
