ABOUT MANTLE

We’re building an AI agent to help families support their aging parents (origin story here https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7358605175294496768/).

Over 40M “sandwich generation” Americans currently manage their parent’s affairs. Keeping mom/dad safe and supported is like a second job: it’s time-consuming, stressful and on top of their already busy lives. We believe that managing our parents’ affairs should feel under control, easier and lower stress.

Co-founded by serial entrepreneur partners including Ted Zagat, who sold his previous businesses to Slack (announcement here https://slack.com/blog/news/slack-acquisition-connecting-employees) and Google (Zagat restaurant guides).

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Social & Content Marketing Manager to build Mantle's voice in the world. The sandwich generation is juggling a lot, and the content they see about caring for aging parents is too often clinical, overwhelming or dull. You'll create content that feels like a helpful friend: honest, useful and human. You will work side-by-side with our founders and marketing team to grow an audience that trusts Mantle.

This is a role for a builder and a maker. In the early days, you'll be the one writing the posts, filming the videos, working with creators and responding to comments yourself. It's not just about strategy; it's about consistently shipping great content, learning what resonates, and doing more of it.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

- Social presence: Grow Mantle's organic audience across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and wherever our families spend time.

- Content engine: Create and publish a steady stream of short-form video, posts, articles and newsletters.

- Creator partnerships: Find and partner with creators and voices our audience already trusts.

- Brand voice: Help define how Mantle sounds and shows up to the world.

- Community: Engage directly with the people who follow and share our content.

- Content analytics: Track what's resonating and turn those learnings into better content.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- 3+ years of social media and content marketing experience, ideally at a consumer startup or high-growth company

- Track record of growing an organic audience and engagement on at least two major platforms

- Strong writing skills and comfort creating short-form video yourself

- Experience working with creators or influencers

- AI adept: savvy with AI tools (LLMs, agents) to increase your own personal leverage

IDEAL BACKGROUND

- Early-stage startup experience where you were the first social or content hire

- Experience marketing to busy adults, especially parents or caregivers

- Experience making complex or sensitive topics feel simple and approachable

- A portfolio of content you're proud of

- Nice to have, but not required: experience with FinTech

WHO THRIVES HERE

- Builders: You love creating things from scratch and taking full ownership

- Makers: You'd rather ship ten posts and learn than plan one perfect one

- Empathetic: You understand what our audience is going through and write for them

- Scrappy: You operate well without a lot of structure or resources and find ways to "get it done"

- AI-forward: You embrace modern AI

- Autonomous: You thrive with minimal direction

- Mission-driven: You care about what we're building

WHAT YOU'LL GET

- Meaningful work: Build a brand that will make a real difference in the lives of millions of families, with fast pace and huge financial potential

- Small team impact: Work directly with founders and see immediate impact from your work

- Partnership with founders: Work closely with Mantle's co-founders and other company leaders

- Learning & growth: Opportunity to build a category-defining company from the ground up

- Real ownership: Your decisions will shape our brand, business and culture

- Remote Fridays: Work from home every Friday. Monday through Thursday, we build together in person in San Francisco
