Job Title:  Social Content Creator (Brand Journalist)

Role: Freelancer

Duration: 6 months

Location:  Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

About the role:

Working in true collaboration with our client Unilever, OLIVER U-Studio's goal is to be the leading agency partner for the development of stunning, effective, needs-based content and digital/social media campaigns.

We work cross-category, spanning Foods, Refreshment, Home Care and Beauty/Personal Care — some of the best-loved brands in the market, alongside a premium portfolio and exciting new brand launches. These brands sit at the forefront of contemporary thinking, using deep insight to drive digital strategy and content advertising, and they're committed to sustainability and brand purpose; which means every brief, regardless of scale, calls for real creative thinking.

What you will be doing:

As a Social Content Creator (Brand Journalist), you're one of the engines behind that output. This role is copywriting at its base, but it goes further: you're not only writing content, you're creating it. That includes ideating, scripting and helping produce the high-volume, content-led ads and social assets our Unilever brands need to stay always-on.

We're looking for a true social native: fast, witty, flexible, and able to bring real range of variety, abundance and richness to how you think about, plan and execute content. And because of OLIVER's in-house agency model, you'll also need to be confident interacting directly with clients.

Ideating and writing social-first content across formats (short-form video scripts, captions, carousels, stories and trend-jack contents) for Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and beyond.

Producing high volumes of content-led ads and always-on social content for multiple Unilever brands, often in parallel.

Adapting each brand's tone of voice for social-native, platform-specific execution (eg. By recognizing that what works on TikTok isn't what works on Facebook)

Spotting and reacting to trends, memes and cultural moments quickly, finding brand-relevant angles before they go stale.

Writing with strong channel-understanding: Knowing how each platform's algorithm, format and audience behavior shape what actually gets seen and engaged with.

Partnering with other U-Studio creatives (designers, video editors, art directors, etc.) to plan and execute collaborative projects (visual direction, content production, editing and shooting, etc.)

Supporting content project planning: Building and maintaining content calendars, and prioritizing output against briefs and deadlines.

Conducting light social research to ground content in real consumer insight and category trends, particularly in beauty/personal care.

Interacting directly with clients where needed, pitching and defending content ideas.

What you need to be great in this role:

Strong content-writing and storytelling skills, with a portfolio that shows range across formats and tones.

Genuine social-media fluency. You live on these platforms and understand what makes content perform, not just what looks good.

Speed and flexibility; Comfortable producing high volumes of content without sacrificing quality or wit.

A confident thinker, able to generate ideas solo or in a team setting

Comfortable writing across long-form (digital/web) and short-form (social) formats depending on the brief.

Solid channel-understanding, fluent in how different platforms work, so content is built for where it will actually live, not just repurposed onto it.

Skilled at content structuring and framework building, able to turn a one-off idea into a reusable structure, not just produce single, disconnected posts.

Flexible and familiar with multiple content-creation methods: angle/pillar-based single posts, modular/templated series, and trend-capturing or pop-up content.

Strong collaboration skills & Highly organized, able to manage multiple briefs and projects at once without losing quality.

Passion for and curiosity about AI and new content tools; understanding of AI tools is a plus, but the ability to quickly learn and adopt them is critical.

At least 2 years of experience working with social agency

Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies.

Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical.

Nice to have:

Experience working on FMCG, beauty or personal care brands

Experience with short-form video scripting, filming or light editing

Fluency in both Vietnamese and English, written and spoken
