Our Brand Marketing team at Plaid builds awareness, shapes perception, and grows Plaid's presence in the market. We combine deep product and industry knowledge with strong creative instincts. We want Plaid known and trusted by the companies and people who rely on financial technology. We believe every company offering financial products to consumers deserves the best financial technology, and people should understand why it matters.

As our Social Community Manager, you'll help us get there. You'll build and run Plaid's social communities, showing up where our audience already is, listening closely, and turning those conversations into trust. You'll also help bring customer and employee voices to the forefront, so the people who know Plaid best are the ones telling its story.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Managing day-to-day engagement across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit, responding to comments, DMs, and mentions with a voice that's human first

- Proactively building community, customer love, and advocacy — identifying and nurturing fans, developers, and customers into repeat advocates for Plaid (superfans, referrals, UGC)

- Defining Plaid's voice on social media, in partnership with the Social Lead and larger Brand team

- Staying culturally tuned in, knowing what trend or moment is worth jumping on and what to skip

- Monitoring conversations and sentiment across channels, flagging trends, questions, or risks to the Social Lead and relevant teams

- Supporting execution of community-facing content and campaigns in partnership with content and design

- Adapting tone and approach for each platform's distinct culture and norms

- Tracking engagement metrics and contributing to regular reporting

- Escalating sensitive situations, including PR risk or customer issues, quickly and calmly

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3-5 years of experience managing B2B social channels, in-house, including building community and customer advocacy

- Working knowledge of LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit, including the distinct culture and etiquette of each platform

- A sharp, current feel for internet/meme culture and what's culturally relevant right now

- Strong, adaptable writing skills, with the ability to shift tone across channels while staying on-brand

- A level head under pressure, with good judgment on when to respond directly versus escalate

- Interest in fintech or technology, with a genuine curiosity to learn the space

- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple platforms and stakeholders at once
