Senior Solutions Engineer
The Challenge
We're looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer (SE) to join our Consent & Preferences (C&P) Solutions Engineering team, reporting to the Manager of Solutions Engineering. This is a highly customer-facing, principal-level role for a technical leader who can run complex, long-cycle enterprise deals end-to-end—partnering with specialist C&P resources and Account Executives to shape strategy, earn buyer trust, and drive technical win plans. You will operate as a trusted advisor and industry thought leader, translating customer outcomes into architecture, demos, and proof points that position OneTrust as the standard for consent, preferences, and customer choice management across the martech and data ecosystem.
Your Mission
Own the technical sales strategy for C&P opportunities: lead discovery, map requirements to value, build a technical win plan, and orchestrate stakeholders through multi-stage evaluation cycles
Serve as the technical expert on integrations and architecture during major sales opportunities, including proposals, RFPs, and custom proof-of-concepts to demonstrate OneTrust’s capabilities and differentiation
Lead deep-dive technical workshops with customer engineering, security, data, and martech teams to design the target state and advise on best practices for implementation and rollout
Deliver compelling, outcomes-focused product demonstrations tailored to executive buyers and technical evaluators; articulate tradeoffs, risk, and ROI with clarity
Partner with Account Executives to develop account strategies, influence buying criteria, and align technical and business stakeholders from first call through close
Coordinate with internal Product, R&D, and partner teams to remove technical blockers, influence roadmap, and scale repeatable integration patterns and playbooks
Drive creation of high-quality customer-facing assets (architecture diagrams, integration approaches, demo narratives, and competitive positioning) to accelerate sales cycles
Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene and activity tracking in Salesforce.com, including next steps, risks, and stakeholder mapping for each opportunity
You Are
A strong communicator and presenter, adept at conveying complex ideas clearly to both executive buyers and technical audiences
A consultative seller who knows how to navigate long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and earn trust as a strategic advisor
Credible with architects and engineers—able to go deep technically while keeping the story anchored to business outcomes
A collaborative team player who excels in cross-functional partnerships, influencing key stakeholders at all levels and driving toward shared objectives
Empathetic to customer needs, capable of pinpointing pain points and delivering tailored solutions
Comfortable leading workshops, handling objections, and facilitating alignment across security, privacy, marketing, data, and IT teams
Entrepreneurial with a hands-on mentality, taking ownership of key decisions and their execution
Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for driving business growth
A recognized voice internally (and ideally externally) through enablement, best-practice sharing, and market/industry perspective
Your Experience Includes
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering, computer science, or business field (or equivalent practical experience)
5+ years of relevant experience in Solutions Engineering / Sales Engineering, Management Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role
Proven success supporting enterprise, long-cycle opportunities with multiple technical stakeholders and executive buyers (discovery through close)
Strong experience designing and communicating architectures and integrations across the martech/data ecosystem (e.g., CDPs, CMPs, tag management, identity, data warehouses, marketing automation, analytics)
Hands-on technical fluency across the systems a C&P SE works with daily, including web and native mobile development concepts, SDK and API-based integrations, SQL/data querying, consent signal capture and enforcement patterns, troubleshooting implementation issues, and collaborating confidently with engineering teams on software and code-level requirements
Demonstrated track record running customer engagements across the journey, including discovery, tailored demonstrations, technical workshops, and proof projects / POCs
Comfort with security, privacy, and compliance requirements that influence consent and preference programs (data flows, identity, governance, and risk)
Ability to create compelling customer-facing content (proposals, RFP responses, solution narratives) and deliver executive-ready presentations
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex systems and drive decisions
Excellent interpersonal skills with experience interfacing with senior leadership; ability to influence without authority across functions
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
