About The Role:

Datacor is growing, and so is the demand on our Solution Engineering team. This is a newly created role built to scale our pre-sales capacity across our expanding international footprint. You will be our dedicated technical presence outside the Americas, based in Europe or the Middle East and covering European, Middle Eastern, African, and APAC markets.

Your primary focus will be Datacor Flow Simulation, our core pipe flow and fluid simulation platform. You will own Flow Simulation pre-sales from day one, delivering discovery, demonstrations, and technical support across the full sales cycle, partnering with Account Executives across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and APAC. Our broader portfolio also includes GoldSim and CHEMCAD. Familiarity with those products is a plus and will create cross-sell opportunities over time, but it is not a requirement for this role.

You will ramp under the mentorship of our senior Solution Engineer with a structured onboarding plan. Candidates with a pipe flow, fluid dynamics, or process engineering background will get up to speed quickly.

What You Will Do:

Pre-Sales Coverage:

Partner with Account Executives across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and APAC to run discovery calls, deliver product demonstrations, and handle technical questions throughout the sales cycle

Deliver compelling Flow Simulation demonstrations tailored to prospect pain points, adapting messaging for industries including chemical processing, specialty manufacturing, oil and gas, mining, and utilities

Build and maintain Flow Simulation demonstration environments, use cases, and proof-of-concept scenarios relevant to active verticals and geographies

Support RFP and RFI responses and technical proposals in collaboration with the sales team

Partner and Channel Enablement:

Support regional and global technical partners with Flow Simulation training, enablement sessions, and joint demonstrations

Develop partner-facing materials including lunch and learns, webinars, and demo scripts

Act as a technical resource for channel partners engaging customers in any territory

Marketing and Events

Represent Datacor at trade shows and industry conferences relevant to the portfolio, including process industries, mining, oil and gas, and utilities

Contribute to webinars, product demos for marketing campaigns, and demand generation content

Surface case study opportunities to Marketing based on themes that come up in demos and discovery

Deliver live product presentations at events alongside regional Account Executives

Partner with Account Executives on customer-facing lunch and learns and product sessions to engage existing accounts and surface expansion opportunities

Collaboration and Product Feedback

Build deep Flow Simulation product fluency during a structured ramp period supported by our senior Solution Engineer

Develop working familiarity with GoldSim and CHEMCAD over time to support cross-sell opportunities alongside the broader team

Provide feedback to Product on feature gaps, competitive observations, and customer requests from across global markets

Collaborate with Marketing on vertical-specific messaging and campaign content

Required:

3 to 5 years in a Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical pre-sales role at an engineering software, simulation, or process technology company

Demonstrated ability to deliver software demonstrations to both technical and business audiences, including engineers, plant managers, and project teams

Strong discovery skills, with the ability to uncover pain, map it to value, and confidently handle technical objections

Degree in mechanical engineering, with hands-on piping experience such as piping system design, hydraulic analysis, or plant and pipeline engineering

Familiarity with pipe flow simulation and fluid dynamics software

Comfortable operating independently and managing multiple concurrent engagements across different countries, cultures, and time zones

Willingness to travel upward of 60% across European, Middle Eastern, African, and APAC markets

Based in Europe or the Middle East with the right to work in that location

Strongly Preferred:

Experience with Datacor Flow Simulation (formerly AFT) products: Fathom, Arrow, Impulse, and xStream

Additional background in chemical or process engineering alongside the mechanical discipline

Experience selling into or working within mining, oil and gas, utilities, or specialty chemical verticals

Familiarity with GoldSim or CHEMCAD

Prior experience working with channel or reseller partners

German or French language skills. Arabic is also valuable for Middle East coverage

Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot, and with webinar and demo platforms

Location and Travel:

This role is remote and must be based in Europe or the Middle East. This is an international role and does not cover the Americas.

Travel is a core part of the job and will run upward of 60%. Expect regular customer visits, trade shows, partner events, and time on site with prospects across the region. Candidates should also be comfortable with schedule flexibility to accommodate calls across multiple time zones.
