Senior Software Engineer - OT

Your Role:

Tenable OT Security was established through the acquisition of a pioneering Israeli cybersecurity startup, marking a major milestone in Tenable’s mission to provide proactive security for the world's most sensitive environments. Our solution offers critical visibility and risk management for Industrial Control Systems (ICS/SCADA), protecting essential infrastructures such as power plants, manufacturing floors, and smart buildings. While traditionally an on-premises solution designed to ensure operational continuity and prevent costly downtime, we are now evolving our technology to deliver market-leading risk visibility through advanced architectures and AI-driven capabilities. By combining deep on-premises expertise with proactive AI insights, we empower organizations to identify threats and network anomalies before any damage occurs

Your Opportunity:

Work on everything running on our OT appliance from network data collection and proprietary protocols to sophisticated logical algorithms, data manipulations, and APIsOwn your projects end-to-end, including design, development, testing, and deployment within an Agile environmentIntegrate AI to proactively identify security threatsBuild high-performance APIs and data-intensive systems primarily using GoContribute to the transformation of our core technology toward cloud- integrated architectures and advanced predictive analyticsWhat You'll Need

5+ years of experience in backend and server-side software engineering, with a demonstrated ability to design and scale data-intensive systems and solve complex technical problemsStrong proficiency in a backend language such as Go, C/C++ or similarPrevious knowledge and experience with AI tools or integrating AI-driven solutions into products- an advantageSolid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and Unix internalsDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (not a must; we're always looking for super talented people)

Cybersecurity domain knowledgeExperience developing network/packet sniffing applicationsUnderstanding of LLMs and agentic work flowsHands-on experience integrating LLMs or ML models into production systems#LI-Office #LI-VA1
