Job Title: Performance Automation Engineer

Experience: 4–7 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Performance Automation Engineer with strong expertise in performance testing and engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness under varying loads. You will play a key role in identifying bottlenecks and driving performance improvements across applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter

Analyze application performance under load and identify bottlenecks (CPU, memory, DB, network, etc.)

Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to optimize system performance

Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation

Monitor system performance using tools like Datadog and provide actionable insights

Prepare detailed performance reports with observations, trends, and recommendations

Simulate real-world traffic patterns and ensure system readiness for production

Participate in performance tuning and capacity planning activities

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with JMeter for performance and load testing

Solid understanding of performance testing concepts (load, stress, spike, endurance testing)

Experience in analyzing test results and identifying performance bottlenecks

Familiarity with web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs)

Ability to correlate application performance with infrastructure metrics

Good to Have

Experience with modern performance tools such as K6 or Gatling

Knowledge of scripting languages (JavaScript, Groovy, or similar)

Experience with distributed load testing

Monitoring & Observability

Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog

Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and traces for root cause analysis

Understanding of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) concepts

Additional Skills

Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)

Understanding of cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
