Job Title: Senior Software Architect

The Senior Software Architect is a highly influential technical leadership role within Conga's B2B Platform Engineering organization. This position is responsible for shaping the architectural vision, technical strategy, and long-term evolution of Conga's B2B Platform, including the platform capabilities that support Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) and Pricing Solutions.

As a Senior Software Architect, you will provide architectural leadership across multiple product, platform, and data initiatives, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, business objectives, scalability requirements, and long-term platform strategy. You will serve as a trusted advisor to Engineering, Product, and Executive leadership while driving innovation, modernization, and technical excellence throughout the organization.

This role is ideal for experienced architects who possess deep technical expertise, a systems-thinking mindset, and a proven ability to influence engineering direction at scale.

Define and drive the architectural vision, technology strategy, and roadmap for Conga's B2B Platform, shared services, and enterprise data capabilities.

Lead the design and review of complex, business-critical systems and large-scale modernization efforts.

Establish and champion enterprise architecture standards, governance processes, and engineering best practices.

Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Operations, and Data leaders to align technology investments with business objectives.

Drive architectural decisions that balance customer needs, business priorities, security, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Lead the architecture of enterprise data capabilities, ensuring effective ingestion, governance, access, integration, and reuse of business data across products and platform services.

Evaluate and drive adoption of emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns that accelerate innovation and business outcomes.

Mentor Architects, Principal Engineers, and technical leaders while fostering architectural excellence across engineering teams.

Promote cloud-native, Azure-based, API-first, event-driven, and scalable architectural approaches across the product ecosystem.

Serve as a key escalation point for complex technical challenges, architectural risks, and cross-functional dependencies.

Partner with Executive leadership to identify and address technical debt, platform investment opportunities, and strategic technical initiatives.

Here's What We're Looking For...

12+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience in architecture leadership roles.

Proven success defining and implementing architecture for large-scale enterprise SaaS platforms and distributed systems.

Deep expertise in Java-based application development, cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern software engineering practices.

Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API management, event-driven architectures, and platform engineering principles.

Experience designing highly scalable, secure, resilient, and observable SaaS solutions serving enterprise customers.

Hands-on expertise with public cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

Strong experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and high-volume transaction systems.

Experience designing platform capabilities for enterprise data management, including data ingestion, processing, storage, governance, access, and integration across distributed systems.

Experience with modern data platforms and technologies used to manage enterprise data and business objects, such as Databricks, including their integration with operational applications and platform services.

Demonstrated ability to lead technology strategy and influence architectural decisions across multiple teams and organizations.

Proven ability to drive architectural governance while balancing pragmatism, speed, and innovation.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience mentoring architects, principal engineers, and senior technical contributors.

Listed below is the U.S. base salary range for this full-time position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, or training. In addition to base salary, Conganeers receive a variable incentive pay component, perks such as flexible work options, and a full range of benefits including medical and dental insurance.

The posted salary ranges are for the expectations outlined in the job description.  We are often open to a wide variety of profiles and sometimes have flexibility within our organizational structure to adjust the role responsibilities up or down should we select a candidate that is less or more experienced than the posted job requirements.  In these occasional cases, we will communicate the revised salary range to the candidate during the selection process.

U.S base salary range:

$131,380—$210,210 USD
