Senior Quality Engineer, Transformers
What you’ll do
You will own transformer quality end-to-end at the Houston factory: building and running the ISO 9001 quality system, and personally executing IQC, IPQC, FAT, and OQC inspections against IEEE, ANSI, and UL standards. You'll manage supplier quality — qualifications, audits, and SCARs — while leading plant quality technicians and handling NCR/FAI documentation. You'll also be responsible for root-causing defects (8D, 5 Whys), driving Lean/Six Sigma improvements, tracking KPIs like first-pass yield, and representing quality with customers during complaints and on-site FAT witnessing.
Where you’ll work
We are an in-office culture — velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure, and the best decisions happen in the room. This role is ideally based in our Houston office, with full-time onsite expectations outside of bi-weekly WFH Fridays.
