Job Description

MedTrainer is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager with a strong background in SaaS software development to lead our project delivery teams. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for daily roadmap maintenance, capacity planning, cross-functional team alignment, and proactive risk management to ensure predictable, high-quality execution.

Overseeing the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) for product and technical initiatives from initiation to formal closure, this role bridges engineering delivery with business strategy while ensuring projects meet defined scope, timeline, and quality commitments. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate across engineering, product, and business departments to manage multiple complex initiatives concurrently.

Responsibilities

Roadmap & Execution Management: Maintain and execute daily roadmap schedules, reviewing estimations, WAGs, and feature requests with Product and Engineering to ensure delivery commitments remain realistic.

Full Lifecycle Delivery: Coordinate complex SaaS initiatives across the full SDLC, managing scope, testing coordination, go-live planning, rollback strategies, and post-release validation.

Capacity & Resource Optimization: Partner with Engineering Leadership on capacity forecasting, resource allocation, and identifying critical paths or reassignment opportunities to accelerate delivery.

Risk & Issue Mitigation: Proactively identify, assess, track, and mitigate project risks, blockers, critical path dependencies, and scope changes, keeping comprehensive decision logs.

Ceremonies & Alignment: Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, release meetings, and cross-team dependency resolution sessions.

Stakeholder & Executive Communication: Provide weekly executive summaries and accurate, timely updates on project progress, risks, delays, quality concerns, and resource needs to leadership and external stakeholders.

Quality & Process Control: Monitor delivery quality through defect trends, release stability, and escaped defects, driving corrective actions, post-mortems, and continuous practice improvements.

Audit & Compliance Support: Coordinate evidence gathering and process documentation to support security and compliance audits, including SOC 2.

Performance Insights: Maintain visibility into team performance metrics, identifying high performers and documenting areas for improvement in collaboration with leadership.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Facilitate seamless alignment between Product, Engineering, Design, DevOps, Customer Success, Marketing, HR, and external partners.

Workspaces & Operational Standards: Maintain project tracking tools, dashboards, templates, workflows, and communication channels (e.g., Slack) throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a software development environment, with a strong emphasis on SaaS platforms.

Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience successfully managing and delivering complex technical projects through the complete software development lifecycle.

Deep SDLC & Methodology Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, release management, and software development practices.

Roadmap & Resource Management: Demonstrated experience with daily roadmap management, capacity forecasting, and resource allocation.

Risk Governance: Proven experience in risk mitigation, decision-log tracking, critical path analysis, and managing escalations.

Audit & Quality Assurance: Experience supporting security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2) and quality monitoring metrics.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Skills & Tools

Agile & Process Mastery: Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC governance, and release management.

Technical Tools: Mastery of project management and tracking tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and dashboard reporting software.

Resource & Capacity Planning: Advanced skills in capacity forecasting, critical path analysis, and resource optimization.

Communication & Translation: Strong ability to translate complex technical delivery details into clear, business-friendly executive updates.

Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, SaaS environments, and compliance standards (SOC 2).

Conflict Resolution & Alignment: Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and cross-departmental alignment capabilities.

Personal Attributes

Business-Level English (C1+): Fluent in written and verbal English communication across all channels, with mastery of domain-specific technical and engineering terminology.

Disagree and Commit: Respectfully challenges assumptions, focuses on constructive problem-solving, and fully commits to leadership decisions once finalized.

Customer Obsession: Actively listens to internal and external customer needs, delivering responsive, high-empathy solutions.

Insist on Highest Standards: Consistently delivers high-quality outcomes, maintains strong self-critique, and acts on constructive performance feedback.
