As a Senior Program Manager for the Productivity Engineering team at Okta, you will be at the heart of driving strategic business programs, bridging the gap between high-level business strategy, technology execution, and organizational goals. Your primary focus will be leading end-to-end program lifecycles, managing cross-functional delivery, and optimizing performance across the entire enterprise portfolio.

In this role, you will actively lead cross-functional program management initiatives, define core project requirements, and drive complex strategic programs to timely completion. You will align key program metrics with leadership objectives, oversee portfolio health, and support secondary operational areas such as productivity tooling and SaaS license oversight where needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

End-to-End Program  and Project Leadership: Lead complex, multi-stream programs  and projects from initiation through execution and delivery, ensuring clear scope alignment, timeline tracking, and milestone achievements.

Portfolio Management & Alignment: Oversee the overall project portfolio, maintaining roadmap visibility, aligning resources, and balancing business priorities across cross-functional teams.

Program Analytics & Reporting: Define and track core program performance metrics, key health indicators, and business ROI, presenting executive dashboards and status updates to leadership.

Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders, engineering teams, and global stakeholders to gather strategic requirements, resolve trade-offs, and drive enterprise alignment.

Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify program bottlenecks, dependencies, and risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure predictable program delivery.

Process Optimization & Governance: Establish robust program governance framework, standardize delivery methodologies, and streamline execution workflows across global teams.

Change Management & Operational Enablement: Drive change management, communication plans, and training programs for newly rolled-out enterprise initiatives to maximize user adoption and operational success.

Secondary Operations & Resource Planning: Support partner functions including Procurement, Finance, and Security with contract reviews, resource optimization, and operational compliance as necessary.

Executive Escalations & Support: Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for strategic program roadblocks, scope changes, and executive alignment.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

Program Leadership Expertise: 5+ years of experience leading complex strategic programs or PMO portfolios in enterprise IT, SaaS, or high-growth technology environments.

Strategic Execution & Planning: Proven track record of managing end-to-end program delivery, risk mitigation, resource allocation, and multi-stream project roadmaps.

Data-Driven Insights: High proficiency in tracking program KPIs, performance dashboards, and executive reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Tableau, Power BI, Excel/Sheets) to support decision-making.

Stakeholder Influence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead alignment and use persuasion to align senior business partners and external vendors on new processes and business impacts.

Program Governance & Methodology: Deep experience with project and program management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and PPM/ITSM tooling (Jira, ServiceNow, Asana).

Global Operational Agility: Proven experience working autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting a distributed, global company across time zones (particularly US hubs).

SaaS License Oversight: Oversee enterprise SaaS applications, monitoring seat utilization, provisioning metrics, and deployment health to optimize software spend.

Contract Renewals & Vendor Strategy: Partner with Procurement and IT leadership to manage renewal timelines, evaluate vendor commitments, and align contract terms with operational needs.

Workflow & Provisioning Automation: Identify opportunities to automate license request workflows, deprovisioning processes, and compliance tracking using enterprise orchestration tools.
