Senior Performance Test Engineer
N-iX is looking for Senior Performance Test Engineer to join the team
The role will focus on reproducing realistic enterprise workloads and failure conditions to identify bottlenecks and reliability issues before they reach customers. The engineer will work closely with development, QA, platform, and DevSecOps teams to define measurable performance expectations and integrate non-functional testing into our release process.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute non-functional test scenarios covering load, stress,
scalability, endurance, failover, and resilience testing.
Simulate real-world user traffic and peak load conditions to validate system
Identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, API,
infrastructure, and network layers.
Work closely with developers, DevSecOps, QA, product, and infrastructure teams
to define test objectives and acceptance criteria.
Prepare detailed test reports including observations, bottlenecks, metrics, risks,
and recommendations.
Support performance testing as part of CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
Skills required:
5+ years of commercial expertise in performance testing
Experience designing load, stress, scalability, endurance and resilience tests.
Strong experience with performance and load testing, preferably using tools such
as k6, Gatling, JMeter, Locust, or similar.
Good understanding of HTTP APIs, distributed systems, concurrency, queues and
asynchronous processing.
Experience with Kubernetes / containerized environments.
Ability to analyse CPU, memory, JVM heap, disk, network and application metrics.
Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
or similar.
Experience integrating non-functional tests into CI/CD or scheduled test
Scripting/programming skills in a language suitable for test automation.
Ability to work with developers to reproduce production/customer performance
problems and turn them into automated regression scenarios.
