Senior Motion Designer- Temporary
StackAdapt is hiring a Temporary Senior Motion Designer to support our design team across a variety of motion and video projects throughout the remainder of 2026. We’re looking for a hands-on creative who can jump into existing projects, work within established brand and creative direction, and produce polished motion content across marketing channels.
This role is ideal for someone with strong motion design and video editing skills who is comfortable moving between different types of deliverables, collaborating with designers and marketers, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
StackAdapt is a Remote First company. We are open to candidates located in Canada for this position.
What You'll Be Doing:
Create motion content across brand videos, event visuals, promotional assets, social media, web, and other marketing channels.
Take projects from brief or storyboard through animation, editing, revisions, and final delivery.
Work within established brand guidelines and creative direction to produce polished, consistent motion work.
Translate marketing and product messages into clear and engaging visual stories.
Support larger campaigns and events through video edits, social clips, web animations, GIFs, presentation content, and other motion assets.
Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and stakeholders throughout the creative process.
Adapt existing designs and creative concepts into motion across different formats and channels.
Use templates, motion systems, and existing assets efficiently while contributing improvements where appropriate.
Explore AI and generative creative tools where they can improve workflow, ideation, or production.
What You'll Bring to the Table
A degree or diploma in Motion Graphics, Animation, Visual Communication, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or video editing.
Strong proficiency in After Effects and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
A strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, animation, editing, and visual storytelling.
Solid understanding of animation, typography, composition, pacing, and design fundamentals.
Comfortable taking creative direction, incorporating feedback, and managing multiple deliverables.
Collaborative, adaptable, and able to ramp up quickly in a fast-paced environment.

This is a temporary engagement, with the possibility of extension.
Remote-first, with flexibility to be located anywhere in Canada.

The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected base hourly pay for candidates located in the posting country based on a global rate. It is informed by market data and the approved budget for this position. StackAdapt maintains different compensation ranges for roles across other countries and regions, and final offers will be aligned to the candidate’s current location. We do not ask candidates about current or prior compensation history, and we will not use such information, if volunteered, in setting an offer.
This range represents base hourly compensation only.

The final compensation offer will be determined by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the candidate's specific experience, technical skills, knowledge, abilities, and relevant education, licensure, and certifications.
Other business factors, such as organizational needs and budget alignment, may also be considered in the final offer.
