Senior Mechanical Engineer (6306)
itD is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering and design efforts supporting electro-mechanical enclosure development and system-level optimization. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in electro-mechanical enclosure design, advanced CAD tools, and mechanical engineering analysis.
Location: 100% onsite in Austin, TX
Duration: 12 months
Pay range: $27 - $27.69 (hourly)

Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design and development of electro-mechanical enclosures.
Develop and refine sheet metal enclosure designs for performance and manufacturability.
Create and manage detailed mechanical designs using NX, TeamCenter, and/or PTC Creo.
Analyze mechanical and thermal requirements to support system-level optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve design and performance challenges.
Apply structural analysis tools to evaluate and improve mechanical designs.
Support advanced thermal management solutions and overall system performance.
Internal Responsibilities:
Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical enclosure design.
Extensive experience with NX and TeamCenter and/or PTC Creo design tools.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Expertise in sheet metal enclosure design.
Proficiency with structural analysis software tools.
Strong analytical skills focused on system-level optimization and advanced thermal management.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent.
