Senior Integrations Engineer
Role Summary:
We’re looking for a Senior Integrations Software Engineer to help build and evolve our next-generation Censys Platform. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams building, deploying and maintaining scalable integrations between our Censys platform and third-party systems such as SIEMs, SOARs, and Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs). These integrations connect Censys Platform with critical security platforms, enriching attack surface data and delivering actionable insights directly into the tools practitioners and CISOs depend on for visibility, threat hunting and incident response. You will play a critical part in helping organizations and critical security providers of all shapes and sizes truly understand everything on the Internet and help make it a safer place.
What You’ll Do:
Set the technical direction for Censys's integrations portfolio: decide what we build and how we build it, across a dozen-plus integrations.
Lead integration delivery across internal engineers and external vendor partners, setting standards, reviewing work, and ensuring long-term maintainability.
Build and maintain integrations with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security operations platforms (SIEM, SOAR, TIP).
Partner directly with third-party engineering teams, and with our Alliances and Marketing teams, to launch and certify integrations.
Design, implement, and maintain robust integrations between the Censys Platform and external SOAR, SIEM, and TIP solutions.
Develop and operate highly available, scalable API connectors.
Contribute to and maintain existing Censys open-source APIs and SDKs.
Advance the next generation of integrations by developing AI Agent skills and plugins to support Agentic workflows.
Create instructions for AI Agents to build new integrations and maintain existing ones.
Design and implement automated solutions for continuous integration, covering the building, testing, monitoring, and deployment of integrations.
Act as a strong advocate for the customer, prioritizing requests, and actively shaping the integrations roadmap.
Keep current with emerging SOAR, SIEM, and TIP technologies to inform and guide the overall integration strategy.
What You’ll Bring:
Own it! Independently drive and implement integrations, working closely with PM, customer success, and partners.
Technical leadership: you've set direction for a multi-integration or platform effort and grown the engineers around you.
5+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years focused on integrations or robust backend systems.
Python or Go (3+ years experience).
API: Deep expertise in API-first development and seamless service integration.
Master Integrator: Proven ability to unify multiple APIs into a coherent platform with solid service contracts.
CI/CD Champion: Always pushing to improve deployment and developer workflows.
Code Craftsmanship: Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
Action-Oriented: Bias for action and an iterative approach to solving problems.
Data-Driven Thinker: Contribute insightful ideas to technical discussions, making fast, informed decisions.
Communication Powerhouse: Excellent communication and documentation skills — able to clearly explain technical concepts across engineering and non-engineering teams
What Sets You Apart:
Hands-on experience integrating with security platforms (e.g., Splunk, Cortex XSOAR, Anomali, Recorded Future).
A cyber security engineering background
Proven success integrating with vendor marketplaces (e.g., AWS, Splunk)
Expertise with expanding REST/gRPC micro-service architecture
Strong interest in harnessing AI and LLM tools as a force multiplier - using it to code smarter, iterate faster boosting productivity
Experience with cloud providers, (especially Google Cloud)
Skilled in building, deploying, and maintaining containerized services in Kubernetes environments
You understand the value of building maintainable software, while building new services you are ensuring test coverage is enforced by strong CI practices, adding linters and code complexity checks. You value clean abstraction, and promote established design patterns, but also know when to innovate beyond conventions
