Senior Finance Planning & Pigment Analyst
The Role
Addepar is seeking a proactive, analytically minded Senior Finance Planning & System Analyst to drive the modernization, automation, and scalability of our global finance function. In this role, you will play a central part in executing our broader Finance Transformation roadmap—evaluating legacy processes, redesigning driver-based planning logic, standardizing financial data architectures, and optimizing cross-functional workflows.
A primary focus of this position will be serving as our in-house Pigment Builder. You will act as the bridge between raw financial logic and scalable system architecture. You will be directly responsible for building, configuring, and maintaining Pigment items (such as blocks, metrics, transactions, applications, and dashboards) to streamline our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. You will design, build, and deploy multidimensional applications, metrics, transaction lists, and executive dashboards in Pigment to replace offline spreadsheets and disconnected legacy tools. The ideal candidate pairs strong FP&A and accounting principles with hands-on systems architecture skills to bridge the gap between financial strategy and technological implementation.
Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is based on the first day of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
What You’ll Do

Integration & Maintenance: Collaborate with IT and Data Teams to maintain integrations between Pigment, ERP systems, CRM and other planning systems.
Optimization: Audit existing Pigment architecture to improve calculation performance, simplify complexity, and maintain model scalability.
Financial Analysis & Business Partnering
Financial Modeling: Translate complex business rules, accounting guidelines, and FP&A models into efficient formula logic.
Variance & Driver Analysis: Build real-time variance analysis dashboards (Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast) to enable fast business decision-making.
Process Standardisation: Partner with FP&A stakeholders to standardize data structures, chart of accounts (COA) mappings, and driver assumptions across business units.
Reporting & Dashboards: Design intuitive end-user dashboards and reporting packages within Pigment for executive leadership and department heads.
Who You Are
Technical Skills
Pigment Expertise: Proven hands-on experience building, modeling, and configuring items within Pigment (or equivalent Anaplan / Adaptive Planning / Jedox platforms with a track record of transitioning to Pigment).
FP&A / Accounting Core: Strong understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), US GAAP principles, variance reporting, and corporate FP&A workflows.
Data & Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial formula structures, relational data structures, multidimensional modeling concepts (dimensions, cubes, properties), and basic SQL or data transformation logic.
Professional Background
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Financial Modeling, or Financial Systems Administration (with direct experience building in cloud EPM/CPM platforms).
Communication: Ability to translate complex finance requirements into technical model logic and explain system capabilities to non-technical business partners.
Key Competencies & Behaviors
Architect Mindset: Thinks holistically about how individual metrics and data blocks interconnect across applications.
Data Hygiene: Strong focus on data integrity, governance, and auditability within model structures.
Problem Solver: Enjoys troubleshooting formula logic, identifying model bottlenecks, and optimizing workflows.
