Position Overview
As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Anno.Ai, you will design, develop, test, document, deploy, and maintain electronics in Anno’s products and to support operations. You would work directly with product, user-facing, hardware, and platform teams to deliver the highest quality products. Annomals are practical, mission-driven, and fun. For this opportunity we are looking for engineers who have experience with RF, sensor, and microcontroller circuits. In addition to circuit design, experience coding firmware is necessary. Experience with meeting United States military standards with electronics is ideal.
The ideal candidate for this role would reside in Minnesota.
Candidates need to be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Candidates must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.
What You Will Do
End-to-end design and layout of complex PCBAs
Electronics system architecture of field-ready systems
Development of power and communications systems
Subject matter expert for electronics elements in Anno’s products
Troubleshooting and design iteration
Work with software team on software-hardware interfaces
Integration with external systems
Field test and support of products
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of professional experience in electronics manufacturing, test, or R&D environments
Strong proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., KiCad, Altium, Eagle/Fusion)
Experience with microcontrollers, RF circuitry, power systems, and sensors
Experience with hand soldering TH and SMT components, PCB rework, and wire harness fabrication
Experience reading and interpreting schematics, layout files, BOMs, technical orders and/or mechanical drawings
Familiarity with communication interfaces and bus standards (e.g., SPI, I2C, PCIe, UART, or Ethernet)
Experience with hardware test and verification approaches using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators or other tools
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting UAS/cUAS systems, defense or aerospace industry
Experience working with diverse sensor types (e.g., Audio/Acoustics, RF, Optical)
Experience designing electronics that meet United States military standards
Experience in prototype development, low-rate initial production (LRIP), and transitioning designs to high-volume builds
Experience testing and troubleshooting RF circuitry and shielding
Experience in electronics and physics simulations
