Overview:

The Senior Director, FP&A serves as a cross-functional driver of consistency, discipline, and continuous improvement across the FP&A organization. This role sits at the intersection of process, consolidation, and executive communication — partnering with FP&A teams across all four business units (Payer, Provider, Insights, and Pharmacy) and Corporate while directly supporting the preparation of materials for the Board of Directors, lenders, and investors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Process Improvement

Develop and execute cross-business unit FP&A operational strategies that drive process standardization, streamline workflows, improve reporting consistency, and enhance organizational efficiency, transparency, and scalability across the enterprise.

Conduct deep dives into existing FP&A processes across all business units to identify inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardization.

Design, schedule, and facilitate recurring process-sharing meetings where BU FP&A teams present their current approaches, compare notes, and align on best practices.

Translate findings from process reviews into concrete recommendations, templates, and standard operating procedures.

Enhance budgetary reporting structure and process in a manner which facilitates transparency, forecast accuracy, timeliness and continuous improvement

Drive implementation of process improvements across business units and track adoption, escalating barriers as needed

Special Projects

Own ad hoc and strategic projects, ranging from financial modeling and systems evaluations to cross-functional analyses

Serve as project lead for initiatives that require coordination across BU finance teams, corporate accounting, and corporate FP&A, bringing structure, timelines, and accountability to loosely scoped work.

Proactively identify problems or gaps and bring forward recommended solutions

Consolidation

Support and, over time, own the monthly consolidation of BU-level financial results, forecasts, budgets, and variance commentary into Total Inovalon reporting packages

Ensure consistent use of templates, definitions, and terminology (e.g., subscription/consumption ACV, ARR, exit rate, prior period run rate, retention, churn) across all BU submissions.

Identify and resolve data or template inconsistencies before they reach executive-level reporting, working directly with BU finance contacts to close gaps

Investor Materials

Partner with the CFO, VP, FP&A to prepare investor updates, QBR materials, and other external-facing financial communications

Translate detailed BU-level data into clear, executive-ready narratives covering financial performance.

Board Materials

Support development of Board-level presentations, ensuring materials are accurate, well-organized, and aligned with company messaging.

Coordinate input and commentary from business units on a defined timeline ahead of Board meetings.

Lender Materials

Assist in preparing lender reporting packages and covenant compliance materials tied to the company's credit agreement

Support ad hoc lender requests and related analyses as they arise

Cross-Business-Unit Collaboration & Change Leadership

Build strong, trust-based working relationships with FP&A leads across Corporate, Payer, Provider, Insights, and Pharmacy

Influence outcomes and drive adoption of standardized processes without formal authority over BU teams

Bring a continuous-improvement mindset, comfortable challenging the status quo and proposing better ways of working

Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from BU analysts to senior finance leadership

Maintain compliance with lnovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement.

Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within lnovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.

Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by lnovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.

Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function.
