About Afresh

Afresh is the leading AI company in fresh food—partnering with grocers like Albertsons, Wakefern, Meijer, and Stater Bros to order billions of dollars of fresh food in thousands of grocery departments nationwide.

Following record-breaking growth in 2025, we’ve expanded our platform to cover all fresh departments, launched our full store suite, and debuted DC Fresh Buying. We're on a mission to eliminate food waste and make fresh food accessible to all. If you're looking for a role where your work directly translates into massive scale and social good—and you want to be part of the team that defines the future of fresh—there is no better time to join us.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Demand Generation & Growth Strategist to define, build, and drive how Afresh captures top-of-funnel mindshare and generates pipeline across the global grocery market.

This is a high-ownership, hybrid role at the center of our go-to-market engine. You will set our top-of-funnel growth strategy, collaborate on bold integrated campaigns, and partner closely with Revenue Leadership to turn executive interest into a qualified sales pipeline. As an AI-native marketer, you won't just run traditional playbooks—you will leverage emerging AI agents, LLM search optimization (AEO/GEO), and automated signal workflows to build a high-leverage growth engine built for international scale.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll partner closely with Rev Ops, Sales, and Product Marketing.

What You'll Do

Top-of-Funnel Strategy & Integrated Campaigns

Own Channel & Media Strategy: Set and execute the distribution plan across paid social, trade publications, executive newsletters, podcast sponsorships, event activations, search/AEO, and direct outreach to reach our target 100 enterprise grocery accounts.

Propose Non-Standard Growth Plays: Continually research, test, and pitch creative distribution channels beyond standard LinkedIn ads (e.g., niche trade media sponsorships, host-read podcast spots, geo-fenced event media, executive roundtables) to capture mindshare among C-suite grocery leaders (CEOs, COOs, CMOs).

Lead Launch & Multi-Event Activation: Drive the channel and distribution strategy for major industry events and product/agent launches—connecting digital media, event presence, and sales outreach into compounding pipeline momentum.

Build for International Scale: Establish scalable top-of-funnel campaign frameworks and channel playbooks today that can be replicated as Afresh expands internationally into new geographic markets.

AI-Native Growth & Channel Execution

Full-Stack Media & Channel Ownership: Maintain hands-on ownership of our core media channels (LinkedIn, niche trade media, executive newsletters, paid search) including audience targeting, bidding strategies, ad setup, and conversion optimization.

Generative Engine Optimization (AEO/GEO): Develop and execute strategies to ensure Afresh is recommended as the premier grocery AI platform when executives query AI engines (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity) and search tools.

Leverage AI Tooling & Workflows: Experiment with and deploy modern AI marketing tools, autonomous agents, and automated enrichment workflows to scale campaign personalization, content atomization, and account research without expanding headcount.

Sales Partnership

Partner with Revenue Leadership: Work directly with Sales to design coordinated Marketing + Sales plays that open doors with C-suite grocery leaders (CEOs, COOs, Chief Merchandising Officers).

Equip Sales as a Distribution Channel: Turn top-of-funnel marketing campaigns into actionable content kits, executive briefs, and outreach inputs for Account Executives.

Analytics & Full-Stack Infrastructure

Full-Stack Execution: Manage backend campaign setup—configuring tracking, building landing page experiences, managing UTM structures, and setting up campaign logic in HubSpot and Salesforce.

Measurement & Optimization: Partner with RevOps to track full-funnel performance, defining leading indicators (engaged account penetration, video completion rates, trade reach) that connect top-of-funnel brand momentum to pipeline creation.

Who You Are

Required Experience

7+ years of demand generation, growth, or integrated marketing experience at an enterprise B2B SaaS company, ideally in a named-account or enterprise market.

Proven track record in top-of-funnel pipeline creation—setting channel strategy, allocating media spend, and making smart investment calls on where to double down or cut spend.

AI-Native Operator: You actively use AI tools, agents, and modern automations in your daily marketing workflow, treating AI as a multiplier for campaign speed, research, and personalization.

Full-Stack & Self-Sufficient: You can present a bold campaign concept to Sales leadership on Monday, and jump into LinkedIn Campaign Manager, HubSpot, and tracking tools on Tuesday to configure the backend mechanics yourself.

Integrated Campaign Experience: Demonstrated experience building multi-touch campaigns around major events (e.g., tradeshows, executive dinners) and product launches that drive measurable sales pipeline.

Growth Mindset for International Scale: Ability to think systematically about building repeatable campaign playbooks that can be adapted across regions and international expansion tiers.

Key Attributes

Strategic Partner to Sales: Brings a strong point of view to revenue leadership on how marketing will open doors with executive buyers.

Creative Eye & Commercial Taste: Excellent editorial judgment around messaging, visual execution, and campaign copy—knows the difference between a generic SaaS pitch and an engaging executive story.

Systems Thinker: Connects content, channels, backend tracking, and seller outreach into a seamless buyer journey.

Location & Travel

This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco headquarters (2 days/week in office). Expect approximately 5% travel for Tier 1 industry events and field activations.

Salary Range: $158,400 – $237,600 OTE (includes base salary plus a 10% target variable bonus).
