West Monroe is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our CFO Advisory team. This person will bring experience supporting clients as they modernize finance and operations through ERP and CFO technology strategy, including application strategy, transformation roadmaps, technology selection, sourcing, and implementation planning. The ideal candidate brings functional consulting experience supporting SAP modernization programs and translating business needs into practical technology recommendations. This person will also collaborate closely with our M&A Merger & Carve-Out Services team where ERP strategy and execution are critical to transactions.
What You Will Do
Lead defined workstreams across ERP and CFO technology strategy engagements, including current-state assessments, application strategy, transformation roadmaps, fit-gap assessments, and implementation planning.
Support CFO and business leaders on ERP and ancillary technology strategies, including technology selection, vendor evaluation, system integrator (SI) selection, and sourcing recommendations.
Serve as a functional SAP advisor supporting SAP modernization roadmaps, ERP architecture assessments (SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA on RISE), and analysis of business benefits to inform technology investments.
Translate business requirements into practical recommendations across processes, organization, applications, vendors, and implementation approaches without requiring deep technical development expertise.
Support M&A transactions through technology diligence, merger integration, carve-out and separation planning, Day 1 readiness, and post-close ERP execution.
Manage assigned workstreams, including scope, timelines, deliverables, risks, and quality, and proactively communicate issues, dependencies, and recommendations to engagement leadership.
Facilitate client working sessions, gather requirements, analyze current-state processes, and synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Develop high-quality client deliverables, including analyses, business cases, roadmaps, presentations, and other executive-ready materials.
Apply strong problem-solving and judgment to identify risks, develop solutions, and help project teams deliver on time and at a high level of quality.
Serve as a trusted team member and emerging leader by mentoring junior consultants, reviewing work, sharing subject matter expertise, and helping build team capabilities.
Support engagement leadership through project planning, status reporting, quality assurance, and preparation of client meetings and presentations.
Contribute functional expertise to proposals and client pursuits as needed and help identify opportunities to expand the impact of project teams.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.
Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.
