Senior Business Analyst (German-speaking)

Our Client is an international insurtech company specializing in the digitalization and automation of motor claims management, working with insurers, fleet operators and vehicle manufacturers. It develops its own software platform to streamline claims handling and integrate different players across the process.
Currently, we are looking for Senior Business Analyst (German-speaking) to join Client`s team.
Location: Remote, with mandatory on-site presence in Stuttgart, Germany: 2–3 weeks during onboarding, followed by 2–3 days per month throughout the engagement.
Retirements:
1) Discovery and requirements analysis
Plan, facilitate and follow up discovery workshops with customers and business units
Elicit and consolidate requirements from the OEM environment
Structure unclear or conflicting requirements; make assumptions and open points transparent
2) Solution design and scope definition
Develop business solution concepts for digitalisation, automation and integration initiatives
Prepare scope definitions: in/out of scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks
Design target processes and assess solution options by benefit, effort and risk
Describe integration requirements for interfaces/APIs from a business perspective
3) Requirements documentation
Create process diagrams (e.g. BPMN 2.0)
Write requirement items: overall requirement (equivalent to epic), sub-requirement (equivalent to user story), acceptance criteria
Create story maps and further requirements artefacts (e.g. business rules, status logic, business data objects)
Maintain documentation in Confluence and requirement items in Jira
4) Requirements quality assurance
Ensure quality, completeness, consistency and traceability of requirements
Conduct reviews with business units and development; adhere to the Definition of Ready
Establish traceability from requirement through implementation to acceptance
Derive acceptance criteria and test scenarios; support user acceptance testing (UAT) from a business perspective
5) Backlog and prioritisation
Maintain and continuously refine the initiative backlog (refinement)
Prepare prioritisation based on business value, urgency and dependencies
Participate in planning and refinement sessions of the development process
6) Implementation support and acceptance
Support and steer technical implementation from a business perspective; clarify business questions from development promptly
Identify and address deviations, risks and schedule impacts early
Assess change requests and place them in scope and backlog
Organise and obtain acceptance of the delivered solutions with the parties involved
7) Stakeholder management
Alignment with customers, business units, management and international software development
Communicate status, open points and decisions needed in a target-group-appropriate manner (German and English)
Candidate Profile:
4+ years of experience as a business analyst, requirements engineer, product owner or similar at the interface between business and IT
Experience in motor claims management or insurance/claims processes
Sound knowledge of requirements analysis, requirements documentation and business process modelling (BPMN)
Experience in developing business solution concepts and scope definitions
Experience in facilitating workshops and aligning with diverse stakeholders
Experience with platform and integration projects, business interface specifications (e.g. XML/JSON)
Experience with agile ways of working and backlog management (user stories, acceptance criteria)
Confident use of Jira and Confluence
Proven track record of supporting implementation projects through to acceptance
Very good German and English skills
Nice-to-have
Certification in requirements engineering or business analysis (e.g. IREB CPRE, CBAP, PMI-PBA)
Story/journey mapping and further discovery methods
Test and acceptance management (UAT)
