Senior Azure DevOps Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
DevOps Integration: Collaborate with software development to integrate best practices into the DevOps pipeline, automating controls and promoting a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab, ensuring efficient, reliable, and repeatable build, test, and deployment processes.
Cloud Infrastructure: Provision and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ensuring environments are scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient.
Continuous Monitoring & Observability: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and rapid incident response.
Security Integration: Embed security practices across the DevOps pipeline, including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and adherence to Azure security best practices.
Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, contributing to root cause analysis and the implementation of preventative measures.
Compliance: Support compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) through appropriate infrastructure controls, access management, and audit readiness.
Collaboration & Enablement: Provide guidance and support to development teams on DevOps best practices, tooling, and workflows.
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, with experience owning and improving production cloud infrastructure at a senior level.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Deep, hands-on Microsoft Azure expertise is essential, with substantial production experience across Azure compute, networking, storage, and identity (Entra ID).
Strong hands-on CI/CD engineering experience, including designing, building, troubleshooting, and improving production pipelines, repositories, and deployment workflows.
Strong hands-on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience managing production cloud infrastructure. Terraform is preferred; strong experience with comparable IaC technologies will also be considered.
Demonstrated ability to independently investigate unfamiliar or complex environments, identify technical gaps, and drive solutions with limited direction.
Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
Solid understanding of observability (e.g., MELT) and related tools.
Familiarity with Azure security tooling, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, and RBAC.
Understanding of networking fundamentals in Azure (VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS).
Strong communication and collaboration skills across development, operations, and stakeholder teams.
Nice to Have:
Hands-on experience with GitLab/GitLab CI
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104)
Experience with repository and CI/CD pipeline migrations, particularly to GitLab
Exposure to security and code quality scanning tools such as SonarQube, or similar
Experience working in regulated industries or with compliance frameworks
Compensation
Annual base salary gross: : 70,000-85,000 EUR plus variable. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Company's contemplated salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographic location. The salary is one component of Company's total compensation package for employees.
