(Senior) Accounting Manager (f/m/x)
Your mission
You will bring accounting in-house at SPARETECH, globally, for our German GmbH and our US Inc. You will be hands-on with bookkeeping, revenue recognition, and consolidation, and you will strategically move them onto one scalable global Accounting solution.
As our business grows, you will make sure our accounting is accurate, high quality, and compliant with German and US requirements, giving SPARETECH a reliable financial foundation for every next step.
We offer you the opportunity to
Build from the ground up: Bring accounting in-house from external advisors and set up a function that scales with the business.
Own accounting globally: Take full responsibility for bookkeeping, month-end close, and annual financial statements for our German and US entities.
Run the core processes: Own revenue recognition, purchase-to-pay, and order-to-cash accounting, as well as correct balance sheet bookings and asset tracking.
Bring the group together: Design and run a clear consolidation process across both entities.
Choose the tools: Select and roll out a scalable global accounting and consolidation solution, building on today's setup of DATEV in Germany and NetSuite in the US.
Partner with experts: Work with our tax advisors and with auditors as the go-to person for accounting.
Grow fast: Take on new challenges as our business, products, and reporting requirements grow, with a steep learning curve.
Work your way: Work fully remote from anywhere in Germany, in close collaboration with our VP Finance and a small, hands-on finance team.
Become part of our team if you
Bring experience: Have ideally 3 to 8 years of accounting experience, including accounting in a startup. Experience at a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm is a plus.
Know German GAAP: Have strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), including experience with consolidation.
Understand SaaS revenue: Have experience with revenue recognition in a SaaS or subscription business.
Have a solid foundation: Hold a university degree in accounting, finance, or business. A professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA is a plus.
Add an international view: Bring knowledge of US accounting standards (US GAAP), or experience with DATEV, NetSuite, or implementing accounting software. Each is a plus.
Automate where it counts: Look for ways to automate processes, including with AI tools.
Like to get hands-on: Enjoy making the bookings yourself while keeping the bigger picture in view.
Take ownership: Work independently, stay pragmatic and solution-oriented in a scaling company, and enjoy building processes from scratch.
Keep growing: Are eager to learn and constantly seek new challenges.
Speak fluently: Are fluent in German and English.
