About Anago

At Anago, more than 55 colleagues have been making a daily impact on society for over 25 years. Our software helps public organisations plan better, prioritise more effectively, and deploy capacity efficiently — enabling faster decisions, more effective use of resources, and better responses to societal challenges. Think: faster procedures for asylum seekers, improved preventive healthcare, and better allocation of education budgets.

We have built a strong position in the Netherlands and are now actively expanding internationally, including into the United Kingdom. The coming years will be defined by scaling up, broadening our market presence, and further professionalising our commercial organisation.

At Anago, we work on impact - combining smart working with a warm, collaborative culture.

The Role:

As Sales Lead, you are responsible for Anago’s commercial growth across various sectors in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, leading a small team of 2 and reporting to the CEO.

In the Netherlands, we are working hard to expand our strong market position in education, while also actively pursuing business development in government and public health. A significant portion of your focus will be on generating revenue within these sectors. The United Kingdom plays an important role in Anago’s next growth phase. In this role, you will have significant scope to work with the local team to further develop our commercial position, strengthen strategic client relationships, and identify new growth opportunities. You will combine strategic insight with a hands-on approach and drive the further professionalisation of our commercial organisation.

You set the commercial direction and ensure it is executed. You lead the sales team while also actively working to close deals and deepen client relationships and partnerships. In close collaboration with marketing and product development, you translate market insights into product improvements that our current and future clients need. In your day-to-day work, you leverage AI tooling for prospecting, pipeline analysis, and sales forecasting.

Qualifications for success:

University degree level of thinking and working

5–8+ years of commercial experience

Experience with SaaS sales processes, preferably in a B2B environment within the public sector

Experience with complex sales cycles such as tenders and public procurement. You understand how decision-making works within larger organisations and can navigate multiple stakeholders with ease.

You sell using a consultative selling approach grounded in content, trust, and strategic advice rather than quick transactions

Experience in both the Dutch market and the UK

Willingness to travel

Ability to move comfortably between setting strategic direction and hands-on daily execution

You combine commercial sharpness with a connecting and coaching leadership style

Excellent presentation skills in both English and Dutch

What you can expect from us:

You will work in an organisation focused on substance, where collaboration and long-term impact are central.

A key role within the organisation and the management team

A great deal of freedom and responsibility. In this role, you have significant autonomy and direct influence over commercial strategy, market development, and the further professionalisation of sales at Anago
